Twenty Below Coffee Co. was established in 2014 by Ty and Elisha Ford, who had a desire to seek the welfare of Fargo. A little about us: We moved to Fargo, North Dakota from Southern Wisconsin in 2013. While we were both used to cold winters, adjusting to Fargo was a bit of a shock; yet, somewhere in the midst of extreme wind chills and snow, Fargo captivated our hearts. Maybe it’s the way this large city feels like a small town community, or the creative spirit of the population, or maybe it’s how Fargo supports local business and embraces change (or that flannel is always in style). Whatever it was, we decided to settle in Fargo for the long haul, and we couldn’t be happier that we have. This city has become our home, and we want to support and bolster local business, community and maintain the truly unique air that is Fargo. A little about Twenty Below: We see a need in our community of Fargo, ND to provide people with a product and environment that will help them slow down, put down the phone, and appreciate the people that are living life with them. It is our belief that there is no better way to help people strengthen relationships with one another than offering a superior beverage in a comfortable environment while innovating new avenues for communication. Paired with this goal of bringing the highest quality coffee and community environment to our beloved city is the goal of strengthening community in the countries we are receiving our coffee from. Our long-term goal is to develop direct-trade relationships with coffee farmers in order to maximize their profit, product quality, and relationship with others in their community. We are taking strides towards this long-term goal by working with the most ethical and responsible importers that we can find. Importing coffee is expensive and difficult, but we hope to slowly learn what it will take to make these direct-trade relationships possible.
