Datz Reviews

We are omnivores — carnivorous, chocolate-loving, bacon-hoarding, wineauxs, beer geeks, curd nerds and yes, even vegetarians. Together we are shamelessly unapologetic flavor crusaders and Datz is our playground.

BURGERFI
Distance: 1.2 mi Competitive Analysis
714 South Howard Avenue
Tampa, FL 33606

Your local BURGERFI isn’t some industrialized fast food giant. They were started in a gourmet kitchen, by gourmet Chefs. Not knowing fast food, the back of the house is built to be less burger joint, more five-star restaurant. When they needed a sauce, the Chefs didn’t call a food supplier. They started chopping. Mixing. Cooking. Making better choices. BURGERFI is better to people: serving only the finest natural, certified angus burgers, dogs, hand-cut fries, frozen custard and more. They’re better to the environment: each location is built to environmentally sustainable best practices and includes earth-friendly elements. And, they’re better to animals: sourcing from one of the best ranches in the country. Where cattle roam free. Breathe mountain air. Eat grass and are treated humanely. BURGERFI never waivers from this high standard. This doesn't come easy. Certainly not cheap. Truth is there are simpler ways to put a burger on a bun. But, they're not better.

Steak 'n Shake

Steak ‘n Shake was founded in February, 1934 in Normal, Illinois. Gus Belt, Steak ‘n Shake’s founder, pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milk shakes. The Steak 'n Shake name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word “steak” stood for STEAKBURGER. The term “shake” stood for hand-dipped MILK SHAKES. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. To prove his point that his burgers were exceptionally prime, he would wheel in a barrel of steaks (including round, sirloin, and T-bones) and grind the meat into burgers right in front of the guests. Hence arose the origin of our famous slogan, “In Sight It Must Be Right.” After 79 years, we are continuing Steak n Shake’s tradition of serving the country’s best, freshest, and tastiest burgers and shakes.

Catrinas South Tampa, Where Art and Food Mingle! #sayyestoautentico BIOGRAPHY: Tisbeth Mejia was born, in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico literally and figuratively, into the grandma’s kitchen . She specialized in the Authentic Mexican Cooking. Tisbeth was raised in an environment that taught love for family, love for food, and love for Art; love all three. Tisbeth’s destiny was predetermined, she would be a chef and an artist. A graduate of the Universidad de Guadalajara, Tisbeth was quickly recognized as a rising young talent in the culinary field. In January of 1990, Tisbeth open her first successfully sea food restaurant in Guadalajara, Mexico and sold it after 3 years to her business partner. Then, her second location opened doors in La Penita, Puerto Vallarta. Later, another 2 locations in Guadalajara and Michoacán Mexico. Inspired by her grandma’s sea food recipes, it incorporates the vibrant energy of the neighborhood with the relaxed intimacy and warmth of a Mexican Paladar. In 2001, Tisbeth arrived to the Tampa Bay area working on her Art side bringing her art to different galleries around Florida and Texas . With her new restaurant gallery venture, Tisbeth goes back to her roots to cook the Mexican food of her childhood with a fresh interpretation of grandma’s recipes. OUR RESTAURANT BACKGROUND: La Calavera Catrina ('The Elegant Skull') is a 1910 zinc etching by Mexican printmaker José Guadalupe Posada. The image has since become a staple of Mexican imagery, and often is incorporated into artistic manifestations of the Day of the Dead in November, such as altars and calavera costumes. The etching was part of his series of calaveras, which were humorous images of contemporary figures depicted as skeletons, which often were accompanied by a poem Two catrinas Popularized by José Guadalupe Posada, this Catrina is the skeleton of an upper class woman, and one of the most popular figures of the Day of the Dead celebrations, which occur during two days, November 1 and November 2, corresponding with the Catholic holy days of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Although these holy days have a long cultural history reaching into the prehistoric traditions of several European cultures, many aspects of the Mexican festival have indigenous origins in an Aztec festival dedicated to the goddess Mictecacihuatl. After the conquest of Mexico, the Spanish superimposed their cultural traditions upon the similar Aztec festival and a synthesis occurred. La Catrina, as it is commonly known, was a popular print in Posada's day, but soon faded from the popular memory. Along with the rest of Posada's prints, it was revived by French artist and art historian Jean Charlot shortly after the Mexican Revolution in the 1920s. La Catrina soon gained iconic status as a symbol of uniquely Mexican art and was reproduced en masse. Posada was a cartoonist too, and for this, the main award of the Encuentro Internacional de Caricatura e Historieta (International Encounter of Cartoon and Comic) is called "The Catrina".

Welcome to Swami Juice, “The juice with Om!” Our goal is to make customers aware of what the body and mind need for nourishment to run at optimal levels, and what you stand to gain from doing so. Millions of people today are nutritionally out of balance. It is these imbalances that lead to poor health and worse. We believe it is not limited to bad nutrition, more so, not enough good nutrition. Natural, whole foods are the best means of delivering vitamins, minerals, essential nutrients/a-nutrients and living enzymes. In today’s convenience and price driven society much of these bodily requirements have fallen by the wayside. We personally believe in the power of proper nutrition and its life saving effects. A proper diet with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, raw nuts, seeds and (some) proteins will help you to feel better and live longer. Juicing is the fastest and easiest way to ensure that you are getting all the different nutrients needed. Om Shanti! Keep the juice alive!
