As a private bail investigation agency, USFRE contracts with over a dozen MN Bail companies, to locate and apprehend offenders and defendants with felony warrants. Defendants become fugitives when they fail to appear in court, or for any meeting arranged with their supervising agency. When a fugitive has a warrant for any felony crime against a person (Gangs, Guns, Drugs, etc), USFRE adopts the case from the agency or bail bond company, and begins efforts to bring that person back into custody, and deliver them to the adult detention center in the county where they currently have proceedings against them. USFRE agents are NOT "sworn" law enforcement, and don't face the same restrictions. USFRE agents may have greater authority to enter homes and dwellings to apprehend individuals when working on a case involving a felony arrest warrant. Law enforcement is restricted in this manner, and may not be able to apprehend someone as efficiently due to these restrictions. USFRE boasts a certified K9 unit, and an excellent relationship with Law Enforcement. USFRE's capture rate is the highest of any agency in the United States. Our agents also contract with specific Counties in the state of Minnesota to conduct extradition. This means that if someone is arrested in another state, USFRE will send a transport unit to that state to transport the suspect / fugitive / defendant back to the county within the state of MN where they are facing charges. USFRE operates NATIONWIDE, and will assist other law enforcement and private investigative firms in efforts to track, locate, and apprehend felony fugitives from justice.
The Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company Building, also known as the Northern Implement Company and the American Trio Building, is a warehouse building in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. PPG Industries of Pittsburgh constructed the structure. It was designed by locally notable firm Kees and Colburn and shows strong influences of noted architect Louis Sullivan. The arches in the top floor windows are modeled after Louis Sullivan's designs, which in turn were influenced by Henry Hobson Richardson's Richardsonian Romanesque style. The corners of the building are subtly chamfered in at the bottom and rise toward a flaring cornice at the top, echoing John Wellborn Root's design of the Monadnock Building in Chicago. The building has now been converted to loft apartments.
The Advance Thresher/Emerson-Newton Implement Company buildings in Minneapolis, Minnesota are a pair of buildings designed by Kees and Colburn. The two buildings are united under a common cornice and appear to be a single structure. However, the two buildings were actually built four years apart. The Advance Thresher Company building was built in 1900 and has six floors. The adjacent Emerson-Newton Plow Company building was built in 1904 and has seven floors. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (commonly called the Metrodome) was a domed sports stadium located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. It opened in 1982 as a replacement for Metropolitan Stadium, the former home of the National Football League's (NFL) Minnesota Vikings and Major League Baseball's (MLB) Minnesota Twins, and Memorial Stadium, the former home of the Minnesota Golden Gophers football and baseball teams. The Metrodome was the home of the Vikings from 1982 to 2013, the Twins from 1982 to 2009, the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves in their 1989–90 inaugural season, the Golden Gophers football team until 2008 and the Golden Gophers baseball team from 2004 to 2012. It was also the home of the Minnesota Strikers of the North American Soccer League in 1984. On January 18, 2014, the Metrodome roof was deflated, signaling the beginning of demolition work. The Vikings played at the University of Minnesota's TCF Bank Stadium for the 2014 and 2015 NFL seasons, ahead of the planned opening of U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome was a domed sports stadium located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Opened in 1982, it replaced Metropolitan Stadium, which was on the current site of the Mall of America in Bloomington, and Memorial Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. From 1982 to 2013, the Metrodome was the home of the National Football League's Minnesota Vikings, Major League Baseball's Minnesota Twins from 1982 to 2009, the National Basketball Association's Minnesota Timberwolves in their 1989-1990 inaugural season and the Golden Gophers football and baseball teams. It was also the home of the Minnesota Strikers of the North American Soccer League in 1984. On January 18, 2014, the Metrodome roof was deflated, signaling the beginning of demolition work. The Vikings will play at the University of Minnesota TCF Bank Stadium until the 2016 NFL season when U.S. Bank Stadium is planned to open. The stadium had a fiberglass fabric roof that was self-supported by air pressure and was the second major sports facility to have this feature. The Metrodome was similar in design to the former RCA Dome and to BC Place before that stadium was reconfigured with a retractable roof.
