Located in the small northeast Iowa town of Decorah, Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution of about 2,500 students. The college is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The Dorian Summer Music Camps have established themselves as a major music camp experience in the Midwest. Each camp is a week long camp held in June. Students stay in the dorms, with Luther College students and alumni serving as counselors. The days are filled with rehearsals, classes, and workshops led by Luther College faculty. The evenings are complete with recitals and recreational activities. Each group performs in one of several concerts at the conclusion of the camp.

Worship is at the core of Luther's life as a community of faith and learning. Daily, there are opportunities on campus to participate in and lead worship services that will strengthen and nurture your faith, and also help you grow as you encounter a diverse and vibrant community of faith. Rooted in a Christian tradition where Word and Sacrament nourish our lives, we gather regularly to be reminded of who and whose we are. Whether in our chapel, the Center for Faith and Life--affectionately called the CFL--or out on the library lawn for an outdoor worship service, we affirm with the apostle Paul that in Christ "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female" (Galatians 3:28). Students play an active role in leading all our worship services. Whatever your faith background, you are invited to share your gifts in worship, both as a participant and as a leader.

The Center Stage Series brings professional musicians, theater productions, dance companies, and more directly to the Luther College campus. We bring 10 incredible performances to the Center for Faith and Life stage every season. This season, we're exploring top-notch artists, jubilant rhythms, global sounds, and moving, innovative stories. There is something for the curiosity-seeker and the connoisseur in this wonderful 2014–15 Center Stage Series season! It is a year of stunning, radiant performances that deserve to be at the center of your inspiration. We encourage anyone to share stories, pictures, and memories while there here! A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. Luther SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.

The Luther College Galleries present several art exhibitions in multiple campus locations throughout the school year. Works by local, regional, and national artists are generally on display in the Kristin Wigley-Fleming Fine Arts Gallery in the Center for the Arts, the Center for Faith and Life, and Preus Library. A group show by senior art majors is installed in the Wigley-Fleming Gallery each May. Information about shows in those locations can be found on this site. The Dahl Centennial Union Gallery and the Gregerson Gallery in the Center for the Arts host a variety of exhibits each year, including works by current art students. Exhibits featuring selections from the Luther College Fine Arts Collection are also periodically installed in campus galleries. Professor David Kamm manages and coordinates the Luther College Galleries.

Luther College Ballroom & Swing provides free social lessons to the students of Luther college, as well as the Decorah community. The club also provides information and opportunities to dance competitively, and has a strong competitive ballroom dance team coached by April Dahl (http://www.dahldance.com/). In addition to throwing many dance events on campus for students, Ballroom & Swing also brings in professional dance instructors at little or no cost to dance participants.

Located in Decorah, Iowa, Luther is a residential, liberal arts institution of approximately 2,500 students. The Luther College Archives collects, organizes, preserves, promotes, and makes available records of enduring historical, legal, administrative, and fiscal value. We collect materials that relate to the history of the college, including official records from Luther College's departments and offices, faculty, students, alumni, and other supporters of the college; items from individuals and organizations that relate to the Norwegian Synod and Synod related churches and organizations associated with the founding of Luther College; and materials from organizations with a relationship to Lutheranism in the United States. The Luther College Archives strives to offer quality collections that are easily accessible and that offer a transparent snapshot of our history. All of the archival holdings have been organized into 20 record groups and follow an arrangement of series and sub-series. Finding aids are keyword searchable in Nordic, our online catalog (http://nordic.luther.edu/). Every action in the Luther College Archives revolves around preserving the Luther College memory, which means special care must be used by patrons accessing any of the original materials in the collection. Luther College Museum Studies minor program encourages students to engage in museum practice in collections management, exhibit development, and explore interests in museums, archives, galleries, and collections. This page shares activities and projects of Luther students and provides news stories and links to the museum profession.

Located in the basement of Loyalty Hall, Phonathon is a way for students to connect with Alumni, Parents, and Friends so that we all can give thanks for the experiences Luther offers. Thanks to donations from friends of Luther, students are able to access scholarships, improved student life, and greater opportunities to learn in community. Phonathon lets students engage with donors first hand and helps to keep us all connected with gifts that get put to work right away, where they are needed most.

The Communication Studies Department provides students with the knowledge and tools to communicate effectively in all aspects of their life. Courses in the department are designed to provide effective personal and professional communication skills with courses in interpersonal communication, mass media and rhetoric. These courses prepare students well for the job market because according to Dan Schawbel, founder of Millennial Branding, "The No. 1 skill that employers are looking for are communication skills and liberal arts students who take classes in writing and speaking."
