Uniquely San Francisco, The Old Clam House is the City’s oldest restaurant serving quality seafood and spirits in the same location since 1861. It has survived many city transformations, including the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906. In 1861 Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated as President of The United States, the dust from the Gold Rush was just beginning to settle, and San Francisco was blossoming as a city. The approximate City population that year was sixty thousand. When it opened in this atmosphere of young America, The Old Clam House was constructed on what was then the waterfront to the south of Islais Creek, just below Bernal Heights. First named The Oakdale Bar & Clam House, the restaurant at one time was connected to downtown San Francisco by an estimated two miles of plank road. It quickly became a gathering place for the waterfront workers and neighbors settling in the area, during an era when the Bay Area contained a thriving fishing industry. In 1906, the Great Earthquake and Fire swept toward the Mission District from South Beach, but was contained at 20th Street, sparing The Old Clam House. In fact, much of the Islais Creek marshy estuary was filled by debris from this earthquake and fire. Although the area surrounding The Old Clam House has changed over time, the restaurant remains in its original location. Today, the bar area consists of the original structure making it San Francisco’s oldest restaurant in the same location since 1861. A fact we cherish.
When you are in the mood for a vibrant yet down to earth gastronomic experience, join the hip urban crowd and head over to the Mission for Boogaloos. What was once a neighborhood Pharmacy on the busy corner of 22nd and Valencia streets is now the perfect local eatery. The colorful atmosphere will draw you in and the culinary delights will keep you coming back for more. On a lovely sunny day you can enjoy the outdoor sidewalk seating, but when the fog rolls in the bright gold walls and cushy burgundy booths of the dining room will warm your spirits. The walls are covered with beautifully laid out mosaics and a gallery of cheerful and expressive artwork made by individuals with disabilities. The service is quick, so even if you must wait to get a table your name will come up in no time at all. Your rich cup of coffee will never go empty which is good because it may take some time to choose between the many delectable choices the menu has to offer. Whether you are in the mood for savory scramblers, sweet lemon-corn meal pancakes, or a spicy mexican style breakfast the heaping portions will leave your tummy full without breaking the bank. Come in for lunch and experience a wide range of vegetarian fare, creative sandwiches or soup and salads which are anything but ordinary. For a meal every bit as eclectic as the Mission neighborhood it resides in, Boogaloo is sure to satisfy.
Why "Chez Maman"? Obviously, because you can never eat better than your mother's cooking. What is warmer than to be with her and eat the food she has just cooked for you? Simple and delicious. My mother always told me "finis ton assiette" because it was proof to her that I loved what she cooked for me. Chez Maman is inspired by this kind of childhood memory. We have tried to recreate that atmosphere with a menu composed of French basics. Tasty items like a hamburger with guacamole or French brie with a good glass of wine - a welcoming and tasty French meal. Chez Maman is a neighborhood restaurant with a bistro concept. We attribute our success to the friendly and casual atmosphere as well as our delicious home cooked meals. The ambiance is French inspired naturally, with the warm colors of the French countryside. What could be more relaxing? Our goal is to satisfy patrons at any time of day or evening from a casual salad or burger for lunch, a mid-afternoon sweet crepe to a three course meal with a great bottle of French wine when you just don't feel like cooking. Of course, if you want to enjoy your Chez Maman meal at home with your feet up, we will gladly make it for you to go. The menu is the same in all of our Chez Maman restaurants. The first one opened on Potrero Hill in 2002. The neighbors all soon became regulars, coming in two or three times a week to share a comfortable meal with their friends and family. We have recently opened a location in Bernal Heights and will soon have one conveniently located on Union Street. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Chez Maman located near you.

Taqueria San Francisco opened its doors in 1990 at its current location on the corner of 24th Street and York Street in the heart of the historic Mission District. Since day one, the owners have aspired to offer fresh and delicious food with reasonable prices and friendly service in a fast manner. Juana Alicia, a renowned artist, was a key element in the appearance of the exterior of the restaurant; she painted the mural on our building known as "La Llorona's Sacred Waters" in 2004. The Mission district is known for being the heart of the Latino community in San Francisco. Its streets are lined with various cafes and restaurants, including other taquerias and Mexican eateries. Taqueria San Francisco has continued to succeed in the face of such intense competition in the Mission district. A large part of this success can be attributed to Taqueria San Francisco's legion of loyal customers who return time and again to enjoy a meal from their favorite taqueria. After all these years, we continue to derive satisfaction by offering our customers food that has been prepared with the freshest local ingredients and in a timely manner. We invite you to come visit us and try our delicious tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, seafood, tamales, and all our other delicious plates in our extensive menu.

Dum is Indian Soul Food served from a restaurant and a food truck in San Francisco. Its a modern interpretation of classic Indian flavors, that satisfies the soul and yet is healthy. It’s not the specific dishes, it’s the flavors that reminds of friendships, of good times spent with friends, of my mother, of the melting pot of a metropolis that brings the best of flavors and textures from north, east and south India to the streets of Bombay! It quenches the soul just as the monsoon soothes the hot Indian summer.
