IT IS ok to get lashes wet tonight as plain water will allow glue to dry thoroughly. However AVOID hot steam from the shower and sauna. LEAVE THEM ALONE... be gentle with your new lashes. Do not rub your eyes excessively. Do not sleep with your face to the pillow. Do not wear any mascara or use an eyelash curler. Do not wash them with soap tonight however you may rinse with cool water. AVOID OIL-BASED CLEANSERS, LOTION OR EYE MAKEUP REMOVERS. These products will dissolve the eyelash bonding agent. Instead, use plain water or water-based gel cleansers. You may wish to use a Q-tip to gently remove eye makeup around the lash line. DO NOT USE MASCARA. The ingredients in mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and your lashes will fall off. IF YOU FEEL YOU MUST WEAR MASCARA... apply only a "water-based" clear mascara on your lash tips, not at the base of your lashes. Application at the lash base may break the lash and/or create a clump of mascara in your lash line. To keep your lashes looking their best I suggest not using any mascara. And never use waterproof you will not be able to get it off without losing lashes. Again, most women do not feel the need to apply any mascara at all. If you accidentally drop some powder on your lashes, simply remove with a Q-tip moistened in plain water in order for your dark lashes to reappear again. AVOID USING A MECHANICAL EYELASH CURLER. SCHEDULE A "TOUCH-UP" PROCEDURE IN 3-4 WEEKS. "Touch-ups" or "fills" start at $55 and are highly recommended in order to maintain a full, lush lash line. They are at a reduced price. Depending on how well you’ve taken care of your lashes they should last on average 2.5 weeks before you need a fill. This depends on each individual I have clients who come in every ten days and some who come every 3 weeks. Even your natural eyelashes shed regularly to allow for growth of new ones. **If you ever want to remove them DO NOT PLUCK THEM OFF. Hi and welcome to Persson Rare Minerals. I'm a geologist who likes rare and weird rocks and would like to share some of them with you at reasonable prices. I collect minerals because I've always loved doing so, and any money made through the sale of specimens generally goes right back into gas to get the next collecting location, field tools, or acquiring new minerals for my own collection! Well, enough about 'why you should buy my rocks', and on to a little about me: I'm a relative newcomer to the 'mineral scene', and was born in Uppsala Sweden in 1986 to two nerdy scientist types. Since then I've lived in Sweden and the U.S, though I was raised mostly in America. At the start of high school I moved right down the road from mineralogical 'mecca' Franklin, New Jersey, and my obsession with mineral collecting, mineralogy, and geology really took off. I quickly got involved in the Franklin-Sterling Hill Mineralogical Society (FOMS) and the local mineral collecting scene, volunteering frequently at both the Sterling Hill Mining Museum and the Franklin Mineral Museum. Field collecting, buying, trading, and selling of minerals from Franklin and abroad occupied much of my time until I moved to Colorado in 2005 to attend the Colorado School of Mines. While engineering ultimately wasn't for me, the mining industry connections and experience working at the CSM Geology Museum was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I was very grateful for. After receiving my geology degree from the University of Colorado, I continued working as an exploration geologist in the mining industry, most recently for Boliden AB in northern Sweden, exploring for copper and gold north of the Arctic Circle. Work has taken me to places such as Northern Nevada, the Arizona Sonoran desert, the mountains of Washington, the wilderness of Northern Idaho, 68 degrees north if Scandinavia, and more, and I'm always excited for then next adventure. Presently, I'm living in Denver, Colorado, working in mineral exploration before returning to graduate school for geology next fall. I maintain a rare earth element mineral claim, 'The Rusty Gold Claim', near Jamestown, Colorado, where I am working with the University of Colorado Boulder on determining the species present in the unusual mineral assemblage there. I try to run Persson Rare Minerals the way the classic American 'family business' of yesteryear was run- no 'smoke and mirrors' deceptiveness or untruthful advertising and outrageous prices now common among many 'high end' mineral dealers, and no making a quick one-time sale at a high price at the expense of a customer. I try and develop personal relationships in all my repeat customers and take pride in the percentage of my business which takes place with these regular customers. I always include free extras in mineral packages to customers, and try and write a personal note, either a note about the specimen and where I acquired it, when I collected it etc., or even just a simple 'thanks for your purchase' can go a long way. Hopefully I don't sound to soapbox-ish, but in a marketplace seemingly increasingly dominated by examples of the same common minerals and mineral specimens which circulate around a seemingly closed-loop with increasingly higher prices with each handler, I hope to offer not only accessible minerals price-wise, but exciting specimens regardless of your level of collecting.
