The foundation provides support for community initiatives, special events, and programs that enable officers to create and sustain partnerships within the city, promote crime prevention, and recognize outstanding service in the department. Programs such as PAL Camp for kids, the K9 Unit, and the Annual Awards event are just some of the areas that are supported by the foundation. The board recognizes that crime prevention is a job for everyone in Arlington—not just police—and that we all have an important role to play in this effort.

Club Blue is a social and professional networking group that drives awareness and raises funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington (BGC). We volunteer our time and expertise to give back to BGC through a variety of service activities. We engage in networking socials, professional development activities, and special events that ultimately benefit the children of our community. Club Blue hosts quarterly social networking and professional development events and two major fundraisers each year. Club Blue also provides professional mentoring opportunities for Club Blue members as well as mentors for BGC members and participates in other existing Boys & Girls Club fundraising events in support of our community’s children.
Overview The Dallas Arms Collector's Association sponsors the biggest gunshow in Texas. We currently schedule five shows annually at the Market Hall in Dallas. We are affiliated with the National Rifle Association and direct all visitors to review their efforts in support of firearms safety and in legislative activities. We also support the Texas State Rifle Association and its competition, safety, and legislative activities in Texas. Our goal is to provide you with interesting and educational material on this website. Education The DACA schedules the Hunter Education Program at each of our gun shows (except our January shows ). These are invaluable to all individuals asDallas Arms Collectors Association - Education Program well as being a requirement for hunting in Texas. Every hunter (including out of state hunters) born on or after September 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Program Course. See our show schedule above under Gun and Knife Show Info for your next opportunity to participate in this training program. Be at Market Hall by 9:30 on Saturday morning to register for the two day program. For a complete schedule of the courses offered at other locations please check the Texas Parks and Wildlife website. Collecting The DACA is dedicated to promote friendship among those interested in the collection of arms and their accessories. The club provides a means for members to locate, secure and exchange arms and to increase the members knowledge of the history of arms and their values. To achieve the above aims, the DACA holds monthly meetings and sponsors five gun shows a year in Dallas. Second Amendment Rights DACA supports the right to keep and bear arms as specified in the second amendment of the Constitution of the United States. We work to prevent any legislation and activities which may be harmful to those rights. History DACA was founded in February, 1975 and is incorporated as a non-profit organization. We are affiliated with the National Rifle Association. Membership The club has four classes of members. These are voting members, associate members, youth members and non-voting honorary members. The number of voting members is set at three hundred and fifty. Most of our members live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but we also have members from many parts of Texas. A few members reside in other states. The DACA is staffed by elected officers and directors.
