Based in the event spaces at 156 Highland Ave, Somerville MA, Cuisine en Locale is a catering and event company founded in 2005 with a mission to support local farmers. To that end we make delicious food and deliver it to customers using ingredients from within 100 miles, to the best of our ability. Since we started we have received numerous best of awards for our food and services, including Boston Magazine's best of Boston and the best caterer from Somerville Scout. We are recognized nationally as a leader in local food advocacy and we are proud members of our local first organizations as well as Chefs Collaborative. We have an event space that is available for event booking, and we do on and off site catering in addition to our weekly meal delivery service, ONCE a Week. Welcome to The Kebab Factory!! Way back in the 14th century, the Moghuls invaded Hindukush, "the land of milk, honey and other rich treasures". In return, they left behind a trail of destruction, and well, the kebab. The kebab was, at the time, just meat sprinkled with salt, which was then barbecued and gobbled up by this army on the move. But soon it caught the fancy of Indian chefs. And by their very capable hands, the kebab was perfected into a sublime art. They choose the finest meats, created an amazing array of marinades in which these meats were transformed into savory goodness. Cooking was now also improved. The open fire was too unpredictable, so the even, dry heat of the tandoor took its place. All this effort to create the perfect kebab. The kind which you can savor at The Kebab Factory.

Handcrafted syrups, shrubs, bitters, tinctures, and garnishes are created in a licensed and certified kitchen: Kitchen, Inc in Somerville’s vibrant Union Square. In addition to event catering, Booze Époque offers a variety of cocktail classes for groups from six to thirty, either in our kitchen or your home or office. Journeyman is the project of a handful of food-loving friends who believe that fine dining should be a comfortable, intimate, and delicious experience. We’ve created a small, refined restaurant that serves elegant but unpretentious tasting menus with relaxed and respectful service. Our menu changes frequently — a consequence of our restless imagination and our preference for small-scale producers and seasonality — but our philosophy remains constant: we make food that tells a story about the ingredients we use and what they have the potential to become. We grow edible herbs and flowers in our window garden, and are working to become an integral part of the Somerville and Union Square community by supporting local events, organizations, and producers. Our beverage program focuses on the strange and wonderful back alleys of production, featuring wines made in traditional ways in unusual areas, beers brewed with special care all over the world, and a wide selection of superb aperitifs and digestifs. We bring in our teas from Upton, and our coffees from Counter Culture, and the selection rotates regularly.
