68 hand-carved horses, 2 chariots, Wurlitzer band organ. Built in 1914 by Philadelphia Toboggan Company, was at MN State Fair for 75 years. Rescued from auction in 1988; restored and operated by volunteers. Named for benefactor Gerard L. Cafesjian.

I am a father who lost his son to suicide. The entire family was crushed by this massive, unexplainable loss. Michael's Bench is a fan page launched one day before the Minnesota State Fair to coincide with a recognition bench I obtained in my son's name by making a donation to the fair. During the 12 days of the fair, family and friends of Michael have created a community and find comfort in reading posts about my him and viewing photos posted by those who visited the bench. I will keep this page alive as it has, for a brief moment, brought my beloved Michael alive.

The Minnesota State Fair is the state fair of the U.S. state of Minnesota. Its slogan is "The Great Minnesota Get-Together." It is the largest state fair in the United States by average daily attendance. It is also the 2nd largest state fair in the United States by total attendance, trailing only the State Fair of Texas, which generally runs twice as long as the Minnesota State Fair. The state fairgrounds, adjoining the Saint Paul campus of the University of Minnesota, are in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, midway between the state's capital city of St. Paul and its largest city, Minneapolis, near the Como Park and Saint Anthony Park neighborhoods of Saint Paul. Residents of the state and region come to the fair to be entertained, exhibit their best livestock, show off their abilities in a variety of fields including art and cooking, learn about new products and services, and enjoy many different types of food—often on a stick. The fair runs for twelve days from late August into early September, ending on Labor Day. In 2009, total attendance was 1,790,497, equivalent to about 34% of the state's population- up almost 100,000 from the previous year. The highest daily attendance in the entire history of the fair was set on Saturday, August 30, 2014 when 252,092 people visited the fair. The Minnesota State Fair was named the best state fair in the United States in 2015 by readers of USA Today.

One of the last FREE zoos in the United States, Como is home to a wide array of animals and plants and welcomes visitors 365 days a year. Located right next to Como Town Amusement Park, Cafesjian's historic carousel, and Como Park, the Zoo and Conservatory are great fun for visitors of all ages. Some of Como's main attractions include a world-class polar bear exhibit, Polar Bear Odyssey, which opened to the public in 2010. The exhibit is home to the zoo's twin polar bears Buzz and Neil and features over 13,000 square feet of outdoor habitat. The zoo is also home to a collection of large cats, hoofstock, wolves, birds, primates, gorillas, orangutans, seals and sea lions, and several other aquatic animals. The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory features six indoor gardens and several outdoor spaces, displaying thousands of beautiful plants each year. Horton Park is a small arboretum in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. Known primarily for its variety of trees, Horton Park has become a symbol of the Saint Paul Midway community.Horton ParkFounded in 1895 by James R. Horton, Horton Park was used for public hearings.
