County Youth Programs (CYP), one of the four divisions in the Office of Family and Community Services, plans, develops, and provides service for children and youth. The Dropout Initiative (1998) has a multi-component program called Doors To Success (DTS) which impacts the youth population between the ages of 16 and 23 in areas where the rate of high school dropout is high. The Summer Food Service Program provides nutritious meals to children age 18 and under during the summer months when school lunch and breakfast programs are not operating. Meals are delivered free of charge to qualifying program Sites such as day camps, childcare, summer schools, and other non-profit programs that serve children.
