In life, there are dive bars and then there are REAL dive bars. The first variety is an old bar, maybe the decor hasn't been updated. Maybe they have a Schlitz or Rainier Beer neon sign. Some people would consider it to be the antithesis of trendy. The Fan Tan Club is of the second variety. What distinguishes your average dive bar from this place? First of all, the building is going to fall down in the next 7 days. The fact that it hasn't already defies physics. If you wear khakis here, they make pickled sausages out of you to serve to the regulars, who are ten times more surly than regular regulars. The fact that it has club in the name raises the question about what the membership requirements are for this place. I can only tell you that involves chest hair, whiskey drinking, and murder and that's just for the ladies. If I told you more, I'd get kicked out of the club and lose such benefits as getting a second round through as an evil twin on speed dating night. -stolen from google.
Created in response to a growing demand for corporate travel counselors in our offices nationwide, Travel and Transport’s Travel Academy is designed specifically to prepare students for entry-level corporate travel counselor positions. Comprised of six travel-related courses and practicum, the Travel Academy program includes 290 instructional hours on topics that introduce the student to the corporate travel industry. Topics include corporate travel management, soft skills, geography, the reservation process, and operations. Students will engage in the practical application of the skills learned throughout the program. Students who successfully complete the Travel Academy coursework can apply 30 credit hours towards an Associate in Applied Science degree with a focus on Corporate Travel Management (104 credit hours total) at Metropolitan Community College (MCC). The Associates of Applied Science degree program was developed exclusively for Travel and Transport in partnership with MCC. Students who are not enrolled in MCC are welcome to enroll in the Travel Academy program. Non-MCC students will still receive 290 institutional hours, but will not receive transferrable credit hours. Non-MCC students will not receive an Associate’s degree upon completion of the program.
