The Italian American Heritage Corporation is one of the oldest Italian American organization in the United States. It was organized on November 11, 1866 and was incorporated on December 6, 1866 it is composed of many St. Louis Italian-American Organizations, who joined together a number of years ago to ensure that there will always be a Columbus Day Parade. The first parade was organized by the Fratellanza Society in 1867 through the effort of an Italian settlement in downtown St Louis. The parade route started downtown and terminated at the statue of Chistopher Columbus ( donated by Henry Shaw ) in Tower Park. For many years it has been held on " The Hill" . The parade is always the highlight of the Columbus Day celebration by many Italian Organizations to promote the philosophy and culture of their heritage by participating in a Festa after the parade. The Festa is traditionally held in Berra Park.

The District was created in 2007 by City of St. Louis Board of Aldermand Bill #67593 for the five-year period beginning January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2012. The District Property is all of the property located within the City of St. Louis abutting the roadway commonly known as Flora Place together with any rear parcels that abut parcels abutting on Flora Place and bounded on the east by Grand Boulevard, on the west by Tower Grove Avenue, on the north by the east-west alleyways located in CB 4935, CB 4940, CB 4941, CB 4946, CB 4947, and CB 4952 (and excluding those properties north of such alley ways abutting Russell Boulevard ), and on the south by the east-west alleyways located in CB 4934, CB 4929, CB 4920, CB 4919, CB 2117, and CB 2118 (and excluding those properties south of such alleyways abutting Flad Avenue). The District is governed by a Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Block Captains from each block within the District. The Board meets five times a year or more at the house of the President. The Flora Place CID Board will meet in 2012 on the following schedule. We have regular science labs during school year on Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. We have astronomy, chemistry, agriscience, engineering, computer science, neuroscience, and entrepreneurship components in our program that engage teens in critical thinking about science and fun scientific learning. During summer time, we don't have regular components but we do have Summer Time Science that serves the same purpose as regular school year activities while adds to more insights of knowledge and provides more internship opportunities for the teens.
Clayton-Tamm is a traditionally Irish-American neighborhood located near the western border of St. Louis, Missouri, USA, just south of Forest Park. Its borders are Hampton Avenue to the east, Manchester Road to the south, McCausland Avenue on the west and Oakland/Highway 40/64 to the north. Its name is derived from the intersecting streets of Clayton Ave and Tamm Ave (Lat: 38.628599, Lon: -090.292882), which is the center of the neighborhood's business district. The Clayton-Tamm neighborhood is one of three (with Franz Park and the Hi-Point) which make up the widely renowned Irish section of St. Louis called "Dogtown". The earliest development in the (not yet) neighborhood was by Charles Gratiot, who in 1785 requested use of the land from Spanish authorities in the French-owned land before the Louisiana Purchase "to cultivate wheat, hemp, corn, tobacco, etc., etc.", (Requoted from McCune Gill by Bob Corbett, 2000) The grant was formalized by the Spanish governor in 1798 and reaffirmed in 1808 by the US after the Louisiana Purchase. After Charles' Death his large land grant was divided into 12 strips and given as inheritance. Major growth in Cheltenham (Dogtown) defined the region in the late 19th century as it developed into a coal and clay mining community. Growth was further accelerated by preparations and construction for the 1904 World's Fair, "The Louisiana Purchase Exposition". While there are a number of theories as to why this neighborhood is known as Dogtown, the most credible account describes a group of coal miners working in what is today Forest Park. When the city acquired the land to build the park in 1876, these people found sparsely populated areas south of the new park and built shacks to live in as they found new work. In order to secure their ramshackle homes, many of the squatters used watchdogs, which would defend their territory. Dogtown is home to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which is the more authentic of the two St. Louis parades for this holiday. On March 17th, thousands gather to watch the Ancient Order of Hibernians' parade, which runs down Tamm Avenue and features many local Irish Schools of Dance.
The Forest Park South Business Association is a membership organization created to advance the mutual interests of commercial establishments within the area bounded by Hampton Avenue on the west, 39th Street on the east, Forest Park Avenue on the north and Interstate 44 on the south.

Follow-up tests after abnormal cancer screening results within the last 12 months: Chances are you know someone who has been affected by cancer. Whether it’s yourself, your aunt, or a friend from church, cancer touches us all. Dr. Rebecca Lobb and her study team from Washington University are recruiting people who needed follow-up tests after screening for breast, cervical or colorectal cancer in the last 12 months to tell us their story. If you qualify, you will be asked to participate in a one-hour interview in your area. After the interview, you will receive $50 for your time. The goal of the study is to learn about your experience with completing follow-up tests after the cancer screening test. The information gathered from the study will be used to identify promising strategies for promoting early detection of cancer in your area. The study is funded by the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society. Residents of Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, Stoddard and Wayne counties are eligible to participate. CWE Pubcrawl was founded by graduate students at Washington University in St. Louis in 1996. It is a biannual pub-crawl down Euclid Ave in the StL.

The members of the Eagle Scout Association raise money and work on a variety of service projects with the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
