Reserve Square is a two-building skyscraper mixed use apartment complex in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Both buildings have 23 floors and are 266 feet (81 m) high. The Square is directly west of the senior residential Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority's Bohn Towers. The complex was originally called The Park Center and was an extension of the Erieview Plan. One of the goals of this plan was to create residential zones in downtown Cleveland, however, by the 1970s with completion of the Tower at Erieview, One Erieview Plaza and Reserve Square this was only partially achieved. The Park Center was considered progressive in both its scope and forward thinking straight styling urban design. It stands as a lasting symbol to these lofty aspirations.HistoryThe West Tower was built in 1969 and the East Tower in 1973. It was designed by the Cleveland architectural firm Dalton-Dalton-Newport-Little, which at one time was one of the most prominent firms in the world, so much so that in 1984, Dalton was acquired by URS Corp of San Francisco. Its design was influenced by Le Corbusier's modernist residential housing development Unité d'Habitation. This style almost approaches Brutalism in its simplicity and showing of building utilities, though it is a bit more refined than that style of urban planning. The West Tower contained an Embassy Suites Hotel for a number of years, until it closed in 2012 and was converted back to apartments.
The State Theatre is a theater located at 1519 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. It is one of the theaters that make up Playhouse Square. It was designed by the noted theater architect Thomas W. Lamb and was built in 1921 by Marcus Loew to be the flagship of the Ohio branch of the Loew's Theatres company.Loew's State Theatre was built in an Italian Renaissance style and was intended to show vaudeville shows and movies. It opened on February 5, 1921, seating 3,400. Because of the desirability of having the theater's marquee on Euclid Avenue, the State Theatre was built at the back of the lot it shares with the Ohio Theatre, but with a 320ft series of three lobbies. This was the world's longest lobby serving a single theater, and it contained four huge murals by James Daugherty, entitled The Spirit of Pageantry—Africa, The Spirit of Drama—Europe, The Spirit of Cinema—America, and The Spirit of Fantasy—Asia. The theater was converted for the exhibition of Cinerama in 1967, but, due to financial trouble, closed in early February 1969, along with the rest of the Playhouse Square theaters.

1717 East Ninth Building, also known as the East Ohio Building, is a skyscraper in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio's emerging Nine-Twelve District. Completed in 1959, it was one of the first modernist high-rises in Cleveland, along with the Illuminating Building. It is currently the 24th tallest building in Cleveland, at 275 feet (84 meters).HistoryIt was designed by Emery Roth and Sons of New York City. Tishman Properties also of New York City was the developer. Ground was broken in March 1958 and in April 1959 it opened to the public. There is a 600-car parking garage attached to the tower. It was built on the site of the old Greyhound bus station, after Greyhound built a new bus terminal on Superior Avenue a few blocks away from the East Ohio Building in 1948.East Ohio Gas, Cleveland's natural gas supplier, occupied the tower until its merger with Richmond, Virginia-based Dominion Resources. On the lobby level, East Ohio had a customer pay center and exhibits of the benefits of natural gas appliances. In addition, they had a meter showing how much natural gas was supplied to Cleveland.
The 925 Building, formerly known as the Huntington Building, originally the Union Trust Building, is a high-rise office building on Euclid Avenue in the Nine-Twelve District of downtown Cleveland, Ohio, USA. When the building was completed in 1924, it was the second largest building in the world in terms of floor space, with more than 30 acres (12 hectares) of floor space. It also included the world's largest bank lobby, which today remains among the largest in the world. The lobby features enormous marble Corinthian columns, barrel vaulted ceilings, and colorful murals by Jules Guerin.Design and historyThe 289 foot tall building was designed by the firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst & White, who were also responsible for the design of the Terminal Tower. It was renovated in 1975 under the direction of Cleveland architect Peter van Dijk, and again by Hines Properties in 1991. In June 2010 it was purchased for $18.5 million by Optima International, a Miami-based real estate investment firm led by Chaim Schochet and 2/3rd owned by the Privat Group, one of Ukraine's largest business and banking groups. Originally contemplating closing the building due to a very high vacancy rate, Chaim Chochet and Chip Marous proposed in September 2014 a $231 million renovation of the building into a mixed-used facility combining offices, apartments, condominiums and a boutique hotel. In June 2015, Terry Coyne, a commercial real estate broker from Newmark, negotiated the sale to Andrew “Avi” Greenbaum, principal of Hudson Holdings, for $22 million. Hudson began a $280 million renovation of the building which will feature 550 apartments, a 300-room, high-end hotel, 200,000 square feet of retail, a banquet hall, conference space, and a lobby open to the public.
