Architecture, paintings, decorative arts, rare books, philanthropy, Baltimore's railroad history, and more.The Johns Hopkins University's Evergreen Museum & Library, the one-time Italianate country residence of two generations of Baltimore’s Garrett family, is celebrated for its holdings of Asian arts: porcelains, lacquer wares, and netsuke (miniature carved ivories); European paintings—including works by Edgar Degas (1834–1917), Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), and Ignacio Zuloaga (1870-1945); American art glass — the majority of pieces assigned to Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933); and the John Work Garrett Library of rare books and manuscripts. This eclectic house-museum also features costume designs, drawings, and a mesmerizing private theatre designed by celebrated Russian émigré Léon Bakst (1866-1924), best known for his set designs for the Ballet Russes. Also of note are the career drawings of regional architect Laurence Hall Fowler (1876-1971); murals by Mexican-born artist Miguel Covarrubias (1904-1957); and paintings by Frenchman Raoul Dufy (1877-1953). The collections of Evergreen afford a unique perspective regarding the evolution of American collecting taste and connoisseurship, from the country’s post-Civil War industrial revolution to the modern jet age.
WLOY is a full time operation featuring music, local artists and community programs. Voted Top 10 College Radio Station in the nation at the 2012 mtvU Woodie Awards. We've won national awards for our community outreach, homeless initiatives and children's programs. We are always looking for great regional artists to play at our weekly shows on campus during the school year and in studio during the summers.
Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management provides business education emphasizing strong ethical leadership, commitment to social responsibility, and a global perspective. The Sellinger School has more than 60 faculty members and 2,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate business programs. Sellinger is accredited by AACSB International in both business administration and accounting, and has an established chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the business student honor society. The Sellinger School enjoys its reputation as the business school of choice in the Baltimore metropolitan area. At the undergraduate level, the Sellinger School offers a Bachelors in Business Administration (B.B.A.) with majors in accounting and business administration. The business administration major has concentrations in the disciplines of business economics, finance, information systems, international business, management, and marketing. Sellinger also offers minors in business administration and general business. The general business minor includes concentrations in business economics, entrepreneurship, information systems, international business, and marketing. Classes are held on the Evergreen campus in Baltimore City. At the graduate level, the Sellinger School offers part-time, weekend, and full-time MBA programs to address the busy schedules and varying career stages of professionals seeking a leadership degree. Sellinger also offers specialty Master of Science in Finance and Master of Accounting programs, and a Cyber Security Certificate for those seeking management-level certification in information assurance. Classes are held on campuses in Baltimore, Columbia and Timonium, Maryland, and some courses are offered in online and hybrid formats. Sellinger’s graduate programs are known for providing a values-centered business education based in ethical leadership and strong connections to a graduate network of more than 20,000 alumni: -Professional's MBA An evening, part-time MBA program for working professionals, this program features flexibility in both curriculum and scheduling. -Executive MBA An all-inclusive Saturday EMBA program for senior managers and executives, this program is 2.5 years, lockstep and cohort-based. Students enjoy a summer break and the opportunity to form strong bonds with fellow executive students. -Emerging Leaders MBA A one-year, full-time MBA program targeting immediate graduates or those early in their careers, this program is lockstep and cohort-based with immersive field studies and an internship. -Master of Science in Finance An evening, part-time MSF program for professionals who have a true enthusiasm for financial leadership. -Master of Accounting A full-time, 12-month program for those with an accounting undergraduate degree or equivalent accounting coursework, this program allows the undergraduate degree holder to achieve the 150 hours required for licensure. -Accounting Certificate A full-time graduate summer certificate program for recent accounting graduates seeking to obtain credits toward the 150-hr requirement for CPA licensure. -Cyber Security Certificate A part-time, one-year, graduate certificate program open to any business professional seeking management-level certification and desiring to learn more about information assurance in the broader field of cyber security. -Leadership Essentials A six-month program beginning each January to provide rising and future leaders under the age of 40 living or working in Howard County with leadership skill building, professional coaching, and community service opportunities.

Loyola's education program began in 1946 and was dedicated as the School of Education in 2009. Conveniently located on three campuses in Baltimore, Columbia, and Timonium, the school of Education offers NCATE accredited and MSDE approved advanced professional degrees, teacher education degrees, and certificates of advanced study.
The Office of Student Life oversees three main aspects of life at Loyola-the residence halls, programming and community building, and the student conduct process. The Student Life staff works hard to help you feel at home at Loyola by providing top quality programs in the residence halls, serving in an emergency on call duty rotation to foster safety and security, and promoting the standards of the Loyola community. Feel free to share photos and other links that interest you! Loyola's biology department is an actively engaged group that focuses on excellence in teaching and undergraduate research. The curriculum prepares students as academicians, for their professional career after Loyola and as lifelong learners. Faculty encourage students to become involved in the program beyond the classroom experience by conducting research projects with biology professors and co-authoring papers presented at regional and national meetings, or becoming a member of the Tri Beta National Biology Honor Society or the biology Student Advisory Board. It is our hope that all students will want to become involved in department activities and contribute to an engaging academic environment. Students in Loyola's biology program benefit from hands-on laboratory experiences, research opportunities with faculty and a robust curriculum. Together, these experiences create a holistic learning environment that prepares graduates for successful admission to graduate and professional schools or for direct entry into the field. For majors, the general biology curriculum is very flexible, allowing students to individualize their course selections to suit their academic and career goals. The department also offers a minor. Or, students can pursue an interdisciplinary degree and combine two disciplines, such as biology and chemistry.
The Loyola Club Tennis Team is divided into a recreational and a competitive squad.Both teams practice at the Butler Courts 2-3 times per week under the instruction of the captains and coach. During the winter months we utilize indoor facilities to practice about 2 day per week. The choir was started in the Spring of 1998 by a group of students excited to spread God’s gospel and blessed with musical ability. As news got around on campus about the choir, membership began to increase and the campus was given a valuable exposure to the vast realm of gospel music. The choir, since then, has grown in popularity attracting members from various denominations and musical backgrounds. Chosen Generation holds two concerts a year, one in the Fall semester and one during the Spring semester which usually feature visiting choirs from the area and surrounding colleges. The mission of the choir is and has always been to create a positive and God fearing environment for a group of students ready and willing to spread Gods word through gospel music. Chosen Generation also holds various other activities such as weekly bible study sessions, visits to Gallagher Center, and nights of fellowship and fun. Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesday nights @ 7pm in the Alumni Memorial Chapel.

The Department of Computer Science at Loyola University Maryland is in the heart of the Baltimore-Washington technology corridor. Anchored by a student focus made possible by a small student-faculty ratio, we have offered exciting programs in the computing sciences since 1984. Students find value in working closely with peers and faculty in designated computer science laboratories, as well as attending department social events such as movie nights, picnics, and technical talks. Students also have the opportunity to perform research, and gain real world experience through our summer research and internship programs. Undergraduate degrees in computer science include an ABET accredited Bachelor of Science (B.S.), a more flexible Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), and an interdisciplinary major. We also offer a minor and computing certificate for non-majors.
The History major at Loyola combines rigorous study with close interaction between students and faculty. The focus of the History department is to teach not just the "facts" of history, but the patterns and interpretations as well. The department emphasizes the skills of research, analysis, argument and writing. In addition to classroom contacts, events such as departmental lectures and colloquia help to keep History majors, minors and faculty current with each other's work and concerns. After graduation, many History graduates pursue more specialized study in law, business administration and international relations. Others prepare for teaching careers by doing graduate work in history or education. Others move directly to jobs in government, the media and private industry, where their skills in analysis, evaluation, research and communication are highly valued.
