Over 80 participants attended each forum. • Established and curated the Caldwell Gallery, Rotunda Gallery and Community Gallery in Redwood City’s downtown government center as an independent contractor to San Mateo County Arts Commission • Established and coordinated annual art shows: - “The Female Gaze” in collaboration with the Arts Commission of San Mateo County and the Commission on the Status of Women for San Mateo County - “Artists with Disabilities” art show • Served as a fiscal agent to artists and arts organizations • Established and coordinated “ARTshare 25” Gallery in San Mateo • Established “Avenue of the Arts” arts district concept in Belmont and installed banner on Ralston Avenue to highlight the Peninsula Arts Council, 1870 Arts Center, Wiegand Gallery, Peninsula Museum of Art, Belmont Arts Gallery and NDNU Theatre Dept. and arts organizations located along Ralston Ave. (2008) • Hosted “Arti-Gras” arts fundraiser at San Mateo County History Museum (2007) • Produced series of youth art outreach activities at Kepler’s Bookstore in Menlo Park and San Carlos Art & Wine Festival • Produced the 2002 Cultural Plan for San Mateo County • Worked with the County of San Mateo to hold a competition to select an artist to create a new State Capitol window display for our county. • Created and hosted a Kidz Arts Day for two years in Redwood City, with hundreds of young people and their families participating (more than 700 the first year). A manual was developed so that any city would have a plan for holding its own event. • Won a $25,000 grant from the San Francisco Foundation for regranting funds to San Mateo County organizations and projects. Organizations funded were Art in Action, Zohar Dance Company, the Atherton Arts Committee, City Arts of San Mateo, the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula, the Kainos Home and Training Center, Peninsula Cantare, the Peninsula Museum of Art, the San Mateo Dance Association and the West Coast Songwriters Association. • Wrote the Arts Indicator for Sustainable San Mateo County annual reports • Incubated the establishment of Peninsula Museum of Art (formerly Silicon Valley Art Museum) (1999)
