The Graduate Center of the City University of New York is a public American research college based in New York City, and is the principal doctoral-granting institution of the CUNY system. The school is situated in a nine-story landmark building at 365 Fifth Avenue at the corner of 34th Street in the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, across the corner from the Empire State Building. The Graduate Center has 4,600 students, 33 doctoral programs, 7 master's programs, and 30 research centers and institutes. The Princeton Club of New York is a private club located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York. Its membership is composed almost entirely of alumni and faculty of Princeton University, which is located 40mi outside New York City in Princeton, New Jersey.It was founded in 1866 as the Princeton Alumni Association of New York. It was re-organized in 1886 as the Princeton Club of New York, and later incorporated as a Club on December 12, 1899. The club had four homes before settling into its current clubhouse at 15 West 43rd Street in Manhattan in March 1963. During these years the club saw a steady expansion in the diversity of its membership. Cultural and ethnic diversity found steady growth, and as women joined the undergraduate body in increasing numbers, they also found a home at The Princeton Club. The Club is the largest organized body of Princetonians in the world and is truly the “Heart of Princeton in New York City.”In addition to overnight accommodation and dining facilities, the club features a 10,000-volume library, a squash and fitness center, business center, and Wi-Fi access.

Students in Comparative Literature come from over twenty-five countries and are native speakers of as many languages. They bring a range of cultural and intellectual interests and have given the program in Comparative Literature at the Graduate Center an international character second to none that mirrors New York City in all its depth and complexity. While the majority of students tend to emphasize modernism in their coursework and dissertations, a significant number pursue studies in other periods, especially in Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic literatures, as well as in the literatures of the Americas. In recent years our students have accepted teaching positions at Barnard, Williams, Yale, Hamilton, Mount Holyoke, Vanderbilt, Harvard, UCLA, Penn State, Rutgers, The University of Massachusetts, and at a number of CUNY colleges. They have also found positions in Italy, Germany, and Turkey. The William Esper Studio is dedicated to the work of William Esper and the proposition that acting is a creative art and true excellence in its practice may only be achieved through total mastery of technical craft. The Studio was established in 1965 and today ranks as one of the most respected professional actor training studios in America. Led by legendary acting teacher William Esper, the Studio has trained a large number of accomplished professional actors who are active in Film, Television and Theatre. Also contributing to this reputation is a passionate, involved student body and a faculty of dedicated master teachers. All the work at the Studio is based on William Esper’s 17-year association with Sanford Meisner, with whom he worked in close collaboration as both a teacher and director. In 1977 Mr. Esper founded the MFA and BFA Professional Actor Training Programs at Rutgers University, which, under his leadership became one of America’s most respected Conservatories. The Studio is able to provide M-1 visas to qualified applicants from other countries. The Studio offers Full- and Part-Time Programs, as well as a 6-week Summer Intensive running from mid-June to the end of July. The Studio makes every effort to maintain a continuity of training while accommodating the scheduling needs of professionals who are auditioning and performing. Our flexible class schedule allows you to create an individual program for yourself. Take acting technique alone, or add supplementary classes, such as voice & speech, movement, auditioning, and acting for film and television, up to the full-time conservatory program. The Studio is open to all who have a serious desire to master a dependable professional craft. Students must be capable of working with a distinguished group of dedicated teachers who expect their classes to strive for the highest artistic standards.

Sifu Lin and Sifu Marc bring various levels of experience, from Kali, MMA, Aikido and Jujitsu, to bring a progressive approach to teaching Wing Chun. Sifu Eugene Lin teaches on Sundays at the school on the second floor from 2pm to 4pm. Sifu Marc Williams teaches at Essex st for private lessons. It is my goal as an acting coach, to help the artist define and refine that gift. Each week we will be working a different creative muscle. The artist must give themselves full permission to explore their truth and lift it into the character. We will do monologues, scenes, improves, and various exercises.
