The Air Weather Reconnaissance Association is incorporated as a non-profit mutual benefit organization under the laws of the State of California. It is a Veteran's organization as defined by Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)19 and Treasury Regulations 1.501(c)(19)-1. Membership in the Association is open to all current and former members of the US Armed Services who served in the US Army Air Force, and/or US Air Force, or who now serve in the US Air Force, in the capacity of aircrew members and military and civilian support personnel in organizations performing aerial weather reconnaissance and related missions. Widows of such personnel are eligible for membership without fee. The membership year begins August 1st of each year. Life Membership is $30.00; otherwise, annual dues are $5.00 per year. For annual membership determine amount due per the following based on the month of your application: Jun thru Nov: $5.00 for year commencing Aug 1. Dec thru March: $8.00 for the balance of the year and the next full year; Apr and May: $6.50 for the balance of the year and the next full year. No membership dues are required of surviving spouses of reconnaissance veterans. You will receive confirmation by mail or E-mail as soon as your application is processed. AWRA publishes a newsletter at least annually. It normally will arrive in April or May to insure that everyone gets the latest information about the Association and the next reunion of members. AWRA also publishes a membership roster for the private, non-commercial, use of our members. AshRama 5, San Antonio's Vedic Resource Center hosts vegg cooking classes, yoga classes, Kirtan and Kirtan classes, readings and study groups from ancient texts of knowledge -vedas, weekly discussions, meditation workshops, festivals etc. weekends OPEN HOUSE, MEALS etc. Ashrama 5's programs are always free, donations welcome : ) Every Saturday: Hatha Yoga session, Science of self-realization course and vegetarian dinner. Every Sunday: body/mind/spirit FEST will take you thru world of Kirtan, Bhagavad Gita and vegetarian karma-free feast special guest speakers come occasionally lecturing from classic Indian Literature.
