111 Minna Gallery – BIO (The art of 111 Minna) Eiming Jung founded 111 Minna Gallery and opened its doors in 1993 at 111 Minna Street in the SOMA district of San Francisco. This location would later become the heart of the up and coming art district, which has now been solidified with the construction of the SF MOMA, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and countless progressive galleries emerging in the surrounding area. The House of Shields has been in existence since 1908. Following an extensive restoration over the summer and fall of 2010, H.O.S. is again open for business. The Metreon is a shopping center located in downtown San Francisco at the corner of 4th Street and Mission Street. It is a four-story 350,000 square foot (33,000 m²) building built over the corner of the underground Moscone Center convention center. Metreon opened on June 16, 1999, as the first of a proposed chain of Sony "urban entertainment centers", aggregating dining, gaming, music, exhibitions, shopping, and movies. Sony intended the ambitious 85 million dollar project to be not only a theme park and gallery for Sony products but also a way to reinforce a sophisticated image for the Sony brand.In 2006 Metreon was sold to Westfield, a mall developer, and it was refashioned as a food-oriented mall. In 2011, with few exceptions, remaining businesses in the mall were closed. Westfield began a major renovation with an emphasis on dining, including Target Corporation creating a large downtown department store that now takes up the second floor. In April, 2012, the Westfield sold the Metreon to Starwood Capital Group. Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, ages 2 ½ through 17, who live in Northern California (17 counties from Monterey to Oregon border). One of the largest of 61 Make-A-Wish chapters throughout the U.S., Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area was the 25th chapter to form in 1984 with J.D.’s wish to meet Kit the car from the television show “Knight Rider.” More than 7,800 wishes later, the Greater Bay Area chapter still strives to grant a magical wish to every medically-eligible child in our territory.

The Yerba Buena Community Benefit District was approved by district property owners in 2008 to improve the quality of life in the area. Our mission is to provide programs that foster a safer and more secure community, create a cleaner and greener neighborhood, and reinforce the viability of our economic base. We began implementing programs in 2009. They include a Community Guides program, 10B police officer program, graffiti removal, street and sidewalk cleaning, marketing and other improvement efforts. A neighborhood defined by its diversity Our downtown San Francisco district is defined by an incredible diversity of residents, cultural offerings and businesses from about Second to Fifth and Market to Harrison Streets. It bustles with world-class museums, shopping, dining, convention space, hotels, and educational institutions. YBCBD is perhaps the most dynamic district in the City – a celebration of San Francisco’s eclectic backbone. Working together to make Yerba Buena even better The YBCBD was created as part of a comprehensive and thoughtful effort by people who live and work in the district. The YBCBD management corporation, a nonprofit organization, was created to manage the district. We hire paid staff and sub-contractors to implement programs outlined in the YBCBD District Management Plan. YBCBD’s executive director works with a board of directors, multiple committees and contractors to advance services.

We serve as a participatory platform for collective impact, focusing on 3 areas for collaboration: inter-generational, across sectors, and with local and state governments.

In 2015, Tax-Aid recruited and trained over 1,000 volunteers to serve 5,023 clients in 29 Bay Area tax preparation sites helping them to receive $5.1M in refunds. These clients had an average adjusted gross income of $19,778.
