We believe in the power and impact of inner strength, mental toughness, and community. With the right mindset, training, and discipline; ordinary people can do extraordinary things. CrossFit Willowbend was created with a mission to help good people become great and to help our community become strong. We train our members with constantly varied workouts and use functional movements performed at a high intensity. Simply put, we use free weights, our own bodies, and a wide-open space to develop our athletes and more importantly, prepare them for the challenges of everyday life. Our experiences at many other local and national CrossFit affiliates, our friends, and our families have inspired our journey... Just over a year ago, four of us started training in our garage and in the street. We didn’t really know what we were doing when we got started, but were fortunate to meet PC (one of the founders), a CrossFit level one trainer. Through thoughtful programing, focus on the correct movements, and unnerving determination, the results have been remarkable. In the beginning we struggled with classic movements like pull-ups and push-ups, but have since improved quickly, now tackling challenging movements like the overhead squat and Olympic lifts on a daily basis. This innovative atmosphere has inspired us to take the next step and expand our community by launching CrossFit Willowbend. Our mission is to change people’s lives through functional fitness and build a stronger community. Our Box (gym) environment is opposite of a typical health club filled with mirrors, big egos, and perhaps tanning beds. Instead you will find everyday hard working people performing complex workouts that most previously didn’t realize were possible. CrossFit Willowbend is a diverse community that includes members of our military, full-time moms, doctors, lawyers, police officers, fire fighters, business executives, elite athletes, kids, and retired grandparents. Come out and join us for a workout of the day (WOD). No matter your current level of fitness, we are ready to take you to the next level.
