We are dancers with the common goal of growing together in Christ, through the pursuit of Gospel-centered living. Our purpose is to use our faith in Christ & gifts as dancers to spur one another on to become people of God, as well as, give the world a glimpse of Jesus using dance to connect.

Get Outdoors Colorado is the coalition behind www.getoutdoorscolorado.org and organizes the annual Colorado National Get Outdoors Day, which takes place on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Denver City Park. This annual event encourages healthy, active outdoor fun. Participating partners will offer opportunities for families to experience all types of outdoor activities.

I am an earth activist, educator and radical thinker. Behind the green gate is a food forest with many raised beds, three fruit tree guilds with Peach, Apple and Plum trees. In these guilds include many berries, currants, culinary and medicinal herbs and flowers to keep the pollinators happy. A top bar bee hive which houses a thriving honey bee population. There is a greenhouse for four season gardening. In the winter it houses figs, lemons and limes as well as flowers and vegetables. 4 Happy hens provide fresh eggs for family and friends and protecting the place is the ever faithful labradoodle Argus. When I leave this earthly plane I would like to know that maybe I have inspired others to leave the earth a little better off than the way we found it.

The Sloan’s Lake Citizens’ Group is a 501(c)3 nonprofit membership organization that engages neighbors in the Sloan’s Lake and West Colfax neighborhoods to strengthen and improve the community through education and events, while listening, respecting and honoring the diverse voice of our community. Become a part of the Sloan’s Lake Citizen’s Group, we can work together to beautify our neighborhood and keep it safe for generations to come. The SLCG currently offers many opportunities to serve our community, we’re open to new ideas as well. Come to our monthly General Meetings and find out what we’re doing in the areas of crime prevention, traffic control, property clean-up and more. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month from 7-8:30 p.m. at 2246 Irving Street (W. 23rd and Irving) Merritt Memorial United Methodist Church. About 800,000 gallons of formaldehyde-based embalming fluid are buried in U.S. cemeteries every year. Ten acres of a typical cemetery contain nearly 1,000 tons of steel caskets; 20,000 tons of concrete in burial vaults; and enough wood sued in coffins to build 40 homes. The danger of mercury and particulate emissions from crematoriums is a concern, yet also a subject of controversy. THE ALTERNATIVE NATURAL BURIAL A modern natural burial is an environmentally sustainable alternative to existing funeral practices where the body is returned to decompose naturally band be recycled into a new life. The body is prepared for burial without chemical preservatives and is buried in a simple shroud or biodegradable casket that might be made from locally harvested hemp or wicker or even recycled paper, perhaps even decorated with good-bye messages from friends. A natural burial ground often uses grave markers that do not intrude on the landscape. These natural markers can include shrubs and trees, an engraved flat stone native to the area. Planting native trees, shrubs, and flowers on or near the grave establishes a living memorial and helps form a protected wildlife preserve. A completed natural burial preserve is a green place with trees, grasses, and wildflowers which in turn bring birds and other wildlife to the area.
