We are a small doughnut shop focusing on making the best doughnuts we know how to make! We use one dough and change up our toppings by the week. Our dough takes 24 hours from start to finish and is all made by hand (other than an initial 2 minutes in the Hobart mixer). We use a non- sour pre ferment, cage free eggs, stone ground organic flour from Lindley Mills, unrefined cane sugar, sea salt, organic whole milk, and whole butter to make our doughnuts. We strive to serve them hot to you! We fry all of our doughnuts in rice bran oil. Our milk and chocolate milk by the glass come from Farm to Home Milk. It is non-homogenized and 100% grass fed milk. Our orange juice is 100 % juice with pulp. Our coffee comes from PennyCup Coffee less than a mile away. Our prices reflect our local ingredient choices and commitment to pay above living wage to our wonderful employees. We hope you enjoy your doughnuts and your time at Hole when you visit! Thank you.

Bone and Broth, Asheville’s neighborhood pub, picks up where King James Public House left off. It’s the result of Asheville restaurateurs who get it. They know we want a place where we can eat no-frills food, have a drink, and catch up with our friends, and that’s exactly what they deliver. West Asheville native Chef Jay Medford has built an affordable, delicious menu that features fresh cuts from the Chop Shop, the baked goods of City Bakery, and his own flair— bringing together the neighborhood for dinner. Together, with owner Kim Murray, the crew at Bone and Broth has created great, down-to-earth food and drinks without any of the fuss that just gets in the way of a meal you can sink your teeth into. Southern classics like mac and cheese combine with premium dry-aged steaks, bone-in specials, house-ground burgers and fries, and traditional English pub favorites like bangers and mash and fish and chips with mushy peas. Want well-priced, approachable food? Then check out the newest Asheville restaurant for dinner because the Bone and Broth is for you.

Inspired by a healthy, outdoor lifestyle, bartaco combines fresh, upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. The minimalistic décor is light and breezy, with the air of a rustic beach shack. The cuisine is rooted in tradition and pulls from a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia and beyond. The tacos are healthier versions of old-country favorites, filled with fish, fresh vegetables, spit-roasted chicken, and slow-cooked pork to name a few. There are salads, grilled corn, and signature fusion rice bowls on the menu. The bartaco beverage menu is just as carefully crafted, and includes bottled Mexican Coca-Cola and hand-pressed aguas frescas. Over 40 tequilas — all 100% agave — have been hand-picked. Our award-winning refreshing cocktail selections are made with only artisanal spirits and freshly-squeezed juices, and are featured along with traditional margaritas, mojitos and caipirinhas. Whether dining with family or enjoying a night out with friends, all will savor the undeniable energy that is the bartaco experience.

Laughing Seed Cafe
Distance: 0.0 mi Competitive Analysis
40 Wall St
Asheville, NC 28801

(828) 252-3445

You should not have to sacrifice quality and flavor in order to eat right. This is the motto that we live by here at Laughing Seed. It was the foundation the original menu that Joan and Joe Eckert offered their guests in 1993, and it continues to guide our kitchen today. At Laughing Seed, we believe people should have the freedom to enjoy delicious meals with their family and friends, regardless of their individual dietary preferences or restrictions. For this reason, we indicate right on our menu which of our mouthwatering vegetarian dishes are made with vegan and/or gluten-free ingredients. Our skilled chefs and helpful service team are also always more than happy to do their best to accommodate any other dietary concerns that you may have. Additionally, we know that food choices are much more complicated than they used to be. Issues like GMOs, organic- and locally-grown food, and sustainable agriculture are important to us and to many of our guests. This is why we use only non-GMO oil in our fryers, we incorporate numerous organic ingredients into all of our menu items, and we support local farmers like Roberta and Sacha at Three Graces Dairy and the great folks at Rise Up Rooted Farm. In terms of flavor, the sky's the limit! Global fusion is very much alive at the Laughing Seed. Dine with us, and you can experience the fresh, complex tastes of Thailand, the simple, but intensely satisfying, flavors of the Mediterranean, as well as the vibrant cuisine of South and Central America. Sunflower seed pesto and cashew ricotta form a deliciously satisfying filling for our raw Spinach Pesto Manicotti. Nothing comforts like our classic Harmony Bowl, Tempeh Reuben, or Tico Burrito. With a full bar featuring organic and sustainable wines, locally-brewed beers, and unique, from-scratch cocktails, as well as WNC's "Most Unique Non-Alcoholic" beverage selection, Laughing Seed is a place where anyone and everyone can find a dish or a drink to make their evening. For warm-weather diners, we also offer beautiful, pet-friendly outdoor dining on historic Wall St. Please visit www.laughingseed.com for our full menu.
