The Universal Orlando Resort, commonly known as Universal Orlando, is a theme park resort in Orlando, Florida. It is wholly owned by NBCUniversal and its affiliates. During this time several new attractions were being built and opened at Universal Studios Florida, including Woody Woodpecker's KidZone, which opened in 1998, Men in Black: Alien Attack and Animal Actors (formerly Animal Planet Live).

The Columbus Center Dance Academy was founded in 1978, and continues to be an active member of the Performing Arts Community in Central Florida. Columbus Center Dance Academy's professional instructors have trained thousands of students in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Gymnastics. Dancers discover and develop a love of music and movement. Several onstage performance opportunities are made available throughout the year. Many Columbus Center Dancers have gone onto careers in the Entertainment Industry. Our Alumni includes Rockettes, Broadway Dancers, Las Vegas Showgirls, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios performers, Orlando Magic Dancers... And Doctors, Lawyers, and Attorneys. An education in the Arts in invaluable. We also offer a unique After School Program. We provide transportation from local area schools within the Orlando area. The students then participate in various dance classes. Columbus Center also provides all day child care, preschool, and Free VPK.
