The OB/GYN Residency Program at Mercy Hospital St. Louis offers a comprehensive academic and surgical program in a community hospital setting. The large surgical and obstetrical volume at Mercy Hospital St. Louis provides a solid curriculum for resident doctors. This is balanced with a protected academic time for lectures and conferences. The faculty consists of talented leaders in the fields of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Pelvic and Reconstructive Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Genetics, as well as generalists in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, we have over one hundred private staff physicians, many of whom trained at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, who are committed to participate fully in the training of residents. In today’s rapidly changing field of medicine, the residency program remains flexible in providing a continually changing curriculum, as well as the core disciplines.
Missouri Baptist Medical Center Emergency Medical Services knows that patient care begins with the first responders and strengthening our professional relationship with pre hospital providers and firefighters will greatly improve patient outcomes. The EMS outreach staff will serve as a liaison between the hospital, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services/ Unit of EMS, local fire and emergency services and the individual emergency medical providers, insuring quality emergency medical care to our community.
