At Discovery World Learning Center, we are committed to providing quality child care for every child that enters all three of our San Antonio facilities. Through age appropriate learning, we are able to encourage our children to grow, while promoting confidence, creativity and self-esteem. By continuing to seek new and improved methods of teaching, children 6 weeks through 12 years of age, will learn lessons through songs and stories to instill fair play, moral values and respect for one another. Our curriculum encompasses monthly themes based around strategies for children with various developmental needs, experiences, and cultures. All activities and assessment materials are aligned with early learning standards, which strive to instill discovery and exploration through the use of multi-sensory experiences and creative movement exercises. DISCOVERY & EXPLORATION - Our teachers model curiosity and wonder to help children reach new levels of development and deeper understanding of concepts. Fine motor and creative art activities include open-ended questions to promote thinking and problem solving. MULTI-SENSORY EXPERIENCES - We know that children learn most when information is provided through all five senses. Many opportunities included in our activities allow children to learn through touch, smell, taste, vision and hearing. PARTICIPATION - Participation in two and three dimensional art, music, dramatic play and creative movement exercises expands learning and experiences of each month’s themes. All activities encourage children to work together, share and be successful at their individual skills. To enroll, simply come by the center you plan to use and fill out an enrollment packet. We do drop-in tours any time before 5pm during regular business hours.

James Bonham Academy has established an internal charter school serving K-8 students with special emphasis on Languages, Fine Arts, and Environmental Science. Our Two-Way Dual Language Program adds conversational languages for both dual language (third language) and regular education students (Spanish). Our academy and internal charter extends through eighth grade. Among the key benefits is that Bonham would be able to offer, for the first time in SAISD since it pioneered the Dual Language program in San Antonio back in 1995, a middle school option for Dual Language students coming out of area elementary school programs. Apart from the obvious benefits for Dual Language students, the K-8 configuration has substantial social and academic benefits for students in general. Among these are continuity of parent involvement through the middle school years, safer school environment, minimal school transitions that tend to set students back both academically and developmentally, eased family lives by extending the number of years that siblings can attend school together, extension of the more nurturing, supportive, familial environment of the elementary school to students during their developmentally challenging middle school years, and leadership opportunities for older students as they tutor, mentor and set a good example for younger students.
