Our clients dream of having their own vegetable garden, but they don't have either the time, energy or know-how to do it themselves. That's where Sprout comes in. We help people build & grow their own organic edible gardens. That might mean building a raised garden bed, selecting the plants best suited for their garden, or amending the soil to create optimal growing conditions. Some folks need just a little help -- maybe selecting the right plants, or learning how to naturally deter pests. Others prefer more hands-on help -- building raised beds, composting the soil, planting the veggies, and so on. Either way, we're happy to offer whatever level of support you'd like. And we share our knowledge throughout the process, so you're learning to care for your garden along the way. Sprout kitchen gardens are also great for kids. We encourage children to get involved in the gardening process -- it's beneficial learning every step of the way. Many parents want their kids to learn where food comes from, and to experience the joy of reaping what they sow. And it's fun to get dirty! If you have children you'd like to include in the process, let us know. We can help design a veggie garden that is just right for their little hands and big imaginations. We currently grow gardens in Northern Virginia. Given the relatively urban setting, we're comfortable growing gardens in tight quarters. Sometimes people think they don't have room for a garden, but that's never true! We can be creative with raised beds, containers, window boxes and vertical gardening. Don't worry if you don't have a lot of space -- we can always find a way to grow veggies!
