Doris and Carloss Morris Men's Development Center 1907 was a good year for Houston. It was the year that opened the door of help and hope to the city’s population of homeless men, establishing Star of Hope as the first such service in the area. Today, Star of Hope's Men's Development Center houses over 300 men nightly and provides emergency and residential programs. At times, due to extreme weather, the center will go into an over-flow mode and accommodate up to 100 additional clients. Chapel services are offered three times a day, as are meals. Showers and a clean change of clothing are also provided. Like each of the Star of Hope facilities, the goal of the MDC is to help clients achieve success in the areas of substance abuse recovery, literacy, education, life management skills, career development, and ultimately, a responsible, independent life-style. The Men's Development Center offers a six month Spiritual Recovery Program and a year long Transitional Living Program (TLC). In TLC men are expected to remain gainfully employed and to practice the virtues of thrift and saving.

On March 1, 2013 Dance Source Houston assumed management of Barnevelder Movement/Arts Complex, now named The Barn – Dance Source Performing Arts Space. Located at 2201 Preston St, Houston, TX 77002, The Barn is a 7200 sq. ft. downtown Houston facility housing 2 fully equipped dance studios and a 120 seat theatrical performance venue. Equipped with her D700 and a variety of prime lenses she documents families and helps them to create unique images often times designing stylized sessions around a client’s interests. While the bulk of Jennifer’s work is centered around her clients, she also enjoys taking on commercial projects. Her photographs can be described as vibrant and joyful with a touch of whimsy. When Jennifer isn’t behind the lens or working at her studio, she can be found playing dress up, going on an adventure, or reading books with her two small children. She dreams of one day escaping permanently to a Caribbean Island with her family, preferably St. John.
