Constitution Beach is a man-made crescent-shaped, sandy beach located in the Orient Heights section of East Boston, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Opened in 1952 and known to locals as "Shays Beach," its most distinctive feature is that looks directly onto the runways of Logan International Airport, so that airplanes taking off and landing on Runways 22L and 22R are about 2000ft away, making them prominent both visibly and audibly.The beach is located on 20acres of land, which was artificially constructed between December 1949 and May 1951. At that time, 34.1acres of land was filled in with hydraulically dredged material and gravel to create the beach, which soon after opened to the public in 1952.The.25miles-long beach is located in a protected inlet so the water, though part of the Atlantic Ocean, is always relatively placid. There are bathhouse facilities on the beach, as well as a snack bar, a children's playground, handball, basketball, and tennis courts, in addition to baseball fields and an indoor ice rink.

Old East Boston High School is an historic school building at 127 Marion Street in East Boston, Massachusetts. It now acts as Section 8 housing for elderly or disabled people.The Renaissance style school was built in 1901 to a design by John Lymon Faxon and expanded in 1933 to a design by Charles Reggio Greco. It is a three story structure, faced in yellow brick and limestone, with a flat roof and a raised basement. It is roughly in the shape of an H, with a central section that has side wings projecting to both the front and rear. A circular auditorium section stands behind the central section.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Downtown Chelsea Residential Historic District is a historic district roughly bounded by Shurtleff, Marginal, and Division Streets and Bellingham Square in Chelsea, Massachusetts.This district incorporates the Shurtleff School (now the Early Learning Center) and period structures around the school. The area had been completely devastated in the 1908 fire and had previously contained City Hall and a number of other community buildings. The 1909 construction of the school, which takes up an entire city block, spurred residential development in the area.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
