Jordan linked up with Gordon’s renowned chef, Don Yamaguchi, beginning the lessons that would refine his culinary capabilities. With a desire to continue his epicurean education, Jordan headed to the Culinary Institute of America in New York. There he polished his technique, style, and presentation among America’s culinary new guard. Returning after graduation to his hometown of Chicago he worked at Le Francais and Charlie Trotter’s while catering private parties on Chicago’s North Shore for friends and family. Jordan longed for a space of his own to plan and create intimate events. After stumbling upon a loft-like space Jordan, the entrepreneur, created a new style of private dining. This space includes a fully exposed show kitchen, no walls and an original 126-year-old wrought iron window separating the dining room and showing off the cleanliness of the dish area. CONE is family-owned and operated right here in Chicago, IL. Since our company opened its doors on July 1, 2013, we've treated every customer like they were a part of our family. We know that there are lots of other ice cream places out there, but none with the quality of ice cream, service, and Irish flair quite like ours! We are partnered with Plush Horse Ice Cream out of Palos Park, IL. They are a small independently owned company who has been making handmade ice cream for 75 years. We are privileged to be selling their delicious frozen treats. Sean McGuire, owner, was born and raised in Ireland, in the town of Belmullet, County Mayo. Since moving to the States years ago, Sean has kept his hometown pride alive. And now with the opening of CONE, he is able to share some of his love for Ireland with Chicago. SLANTIE! (CHEERS!)
