The Church of the Assumption Catholic Church was dedicated in 1874 and is the oldest existing church in Saint Paul in the state of Minnesota (U.S.). It is located at 51 West Seventh Street, in downtown Saint Paul. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The parish was founded in 1856 by Bishop Joseph Crétin. At that time, immigrants from Germany were arriving, and the single Catholic parish in St. Paul mainly served French and Irish settlers, with services in Latin and sermons in their own languages. The first building was a plain stone structure with a wooden steeple on West Ninth Street. The founding pastor was Father George Keller. After Fr. Keller was transferred to Faribault, Minnesota in 1858, staffing of the parish was met by priests and brothers from St. John's Abbey (Order of St. Benedict) in Collegeville, Minnesota.By 1869 the parish had outgrown the small chapel and a new building was urgently needed. The church's construction was ordered by then-Archbishop John Ireland, who wanted the city's growing Catholic German immigrant population to have a parish of their own. It was built in a plain Romanesque style of Lake Superior limestone by German Catholics, and is said to have been modeled after the Ludwigskirche in Munich. The architect, Joseph Reidel, was a court architect for the Wittelsbach family in Bavaria, Germany.

The Church of Saint Agnes is an onion-domed church building designed by George Ries, built 1901–1912 for the German-speaking Austro-Hungarian population of immigrants in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The parish was founded in 1887 by Archbishop John Ireland, who wanted to serve German-speaking immigrants who were settling in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul to find work with the Great Northern Railway. The first building was designed by George Bergmann, a St. Paul architect who was also a parishioner. The current building was begun under the direction of Reverend James Trobec, who later became the third bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud. Two competing designs were submitted by architects Hermann Kretz and George Ries, and the design by Ries was selected. Ries modeled his design after Stift Schlägl, a Praemonstratensian monastery in Northern Austria near Aigen im Mühlkreis. The Baroque architecture style was familiar to immigrants who came from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and southern Germany. It is also influenced by Beaux-Arts ideals of balance and symmetry.
Dear People Whom God Loves, At St. Stan's we have as our mission to welcome people just as they are. We do this imperfectly, but this is our goal. We welcome people who are struggling with various issues with the church.I also invite you to tell me your story about this or any other matters that are of concern to you. I will listen to you without judging you and help you find insight if that is what you would like. We are all broken people. Understanding this is essential for our spiritual growth. Come give us a try. See if we are a fit for you. Smile, God loves you, Father Clay
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in the United States. It is led by the prelature of an archbishop which administers the archdiocese from the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The archbishop has both a cathedral and co-cathedral: the mother church, the Cathedral of Saint Paul in the city of Saint Paul and the co-cathedral, the Basilica of Saint Mary in the city of Minneapolis. The archdiocese has 222 parish churches in twelve counties of Minnesota. It counts in its membership an approximate total of 750,000 people. It has two seminaries, the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity and Saint John Vianney College Seminary. Its official newspaper is The Catholic Spirit.
Established as a diocese in 1850 (originally Minnesota and the Dakotas), the Holy See elevated it to an archdiocese in 1888. Now, the archdiocese’s boundaries are the 12-county greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. The archdiocese is home to approximately 825,000 Catholics (roughly 25% of the population) in 187 parishes. During the past ten years, 100,000 new members have joined the archdiocesan Catholic family, mostly through moving to this area. Approximately 9,000 infants and 300 adults are baptized annually in parishes throughout the archdiocese. New Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church "The Destiny Cathedral" is the re-organized Life Changers Institutional Baptist Church "The Victory Centre". Life Changers merged with another local congregation however the merger did not work. Plans to re-open as a independent church where the furthest from our Founder's mind. After hearing the people of God & the voice of God, Bishop DL Bryant-Kemp, Sr. who had Pastored Life Changers for 9 years talked with Deacons, Ministers & leaders of the Former Life Changers Church to see how we could make it work. After all Life Changers had just come through a terrible storm. Bishop felt very strongly that if we where to re-organize 1. we could not be Life Changers any longer ( The state of MN would not allow it anyway even though we tried) 2. we had to be in a central location for Minneapolis & St. Paul congregants. After meeting with the Ministry team and names being tossed around New Mt. Calvary was chosen and to stay true to who we have always been we chose to this time have Missionary Baptist as a part of the name. the 1st Place we called about space said YES and allowed us to set our own price. Since re-organizing God has blessed us. Our first baptism is set for the 1st weekend of Sept. and we have 8 ( The number of new beginnings) to be the 1st group to be baptized disciples of New Mt. Calvary MB Church within 2 months of re-organizing God blessed the New Mt. Calvary Church to begin purchase our own home located at 3019 17th Ave. S Minneapolis.
