Sharing a border with Malaysia and influenced by Indonesia, the South of Thailand has a large immigrant population. The immigrant community brings a significant influence to southern Thai cooking. Southern Thai cuisine is inevitably inspired by the spices, seasonings, ingredients, and cooking styles of its neighbors. The way these ingredients are combined make Thai dishes unique and bold. We’ve brought our favorite food that you would find from vendors and shops in Samui, an island in the south of Thailand; to the floating market in the central region of Thailand. We also feature other regional recipes and prepare them as we would back home. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoy sharing a part of our culture with you.
The cuisine highlights the versatility of seafood through the creation of nuanced flavor profiles, creative use of ingredients, innovative technique and presentation. An open kitchen located directly in the dining room invites guests to witness this creative process firsthand. Dishes are accompanied by a rotating, carefully curated, beverage selection that is chosen specifically to complement the dishes on that week’s menu. Our beverage selection has a wide range of options with particular emphasis on wine, sake, beer and spirits. We welcome you to join us for the unique dining experience that is Roe.
B&T Oyster Bar is headed by Chef Trent Pierce, a third generation restaurateur. The restaurant embodies Pierce’s vision of the modern oyster bar. It is the boisterous counterpart to his more refined Roe, located at the back of Block + Tackle. The menu emphasizes local seafood paired with fresh, seasonal ingredients that rely heavily on Trent’s background with French and Asian flavors. Fresh oysters on the half shell rotate daily. The small plates menu is highlighted with Pierce’s inventive, fun creations such as grilled mackerel on rye bread with honey-dijon mustard, horseradish creme fraiche, apple, and pickled shallots or house made Dan Dan Noodles with szechuan spiced seafood ragu, pistachio butter, and chilli oil. Artfully crafted cocktails, rotating drafts, and local wines compliment the food. Please join us to experience B&T Oyster Bar.
Sunshine Tavern is that warm, playful and welcoming environment you would expect from a tavern. Most of all, it's fun. This is a bar, a clubhouse, a gathering place for family, friends and everyone in between. Come in for a drink, linger over dinner, or have a go at the 14-foot shuffleboard table or our vintage Ms. Pac Man and Donkey Kong games.
Sen Yai is now permanently closed, Please join us down the street at Whiskey Soda Lounge for lunch where we have moved a large number of the menu items from Sen Yai. WSL is serving Thai style breakfast too!
