We create portraits for women to show them a side that they didn't know existed. To help you feel beautiful, we employ a team to pamper you: Ally of Skin Nouveau will apply airbrush makeup, making you look absolutely flawless. Sarah Bolter will transform your locks into silky, beautiful waves or curls. At the end of your session, our massage therapist will continue to pamper you by giving you a 60-minute custom massage. Want beautiful photos of yourself, but aren't keen on the idea of posing in your underwear? We also do fully-clothed glamour portraits that make wonderful gifts and can be used for headshots. While studying photography, I fell in love with the raw style of Photojournalism. There are no staged photographs with poses or fake smiles, no strobe lights in your face, just genuine moments. I really love that, being able to capture a special, perfect moment while it's happening: the ability to freeze a beautiful moment in time, a smile, a tear, a giggle or a even the slightest glance. Now that moment can be cherished for a lifetime, not only in your memory, but a physical object that can be shared with the world. Once I capture it, it's yours forever. When starting my own adventures as a portrait photographer, I strived to combine that photojournalistic style that I adore with the techniques I've learned in the studio. Hey there, I started reading when I was four years old. I powered through books like nobody’s business and my little imagination exploded with all the stories I read. I particularly liked mysteries novels as a kid—you know, like The Hardy Boys and The Boxcar Children. My imagination is crazy though, and as a kid I had so many connotations and contraptions that I would build and my mind took me on so many adventures. I’d make up new languages, pretend to live in Ancient Egypt, and write short-stories and poems. When I was 14 my parents let me expand my borders and let me trek out on my first trip to Europe with some family friends. Ever since then, in addition to having an overactive imagination, I’ve had a severe case of wanderlust. When I started taking photography seriously, it was incredibly meaningful to me because I didn’t have to necessarily explain my stories with words—I was able to actually show them to people. I consider myself a storyteller. I think life is full of beauty—even in the mundane. Daily Rituals. Awe. Fears. Hope. I think these are incredible things and I love how Weddings bring these things together all into one place. Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about the word Legacy. I really want to leave behind a legacy to those around me. I want my wife to remember me as someone who treasured her and who was devoted to her; I want my kids to remember me as someone who loved their mother and loved and believed in them relentlessly; I want my friends to remember me as someone who was committed to be present with them—not on my phone or bailing on them because I want to get ahead in my career. I want to take photos that are part of a Legacy. I want to take photos that matter. If you think marriage is a big deal—if you don’t need a reason to book a flight to Europe—if your wedding is a celebration in the woods where you first fell in love—please get in touch because I think we’re going to get along really well. Buzzworthy Baby, formerly known as Baby Art, was started by Kris O’Neill in 1986 in the tiny back room of her house in Cadillac, MI. Kris loved the idea of a fun, colorful, personalized baby gift that people could hang in their child's nursery. Kris's unique approach was to seamlessly integrate information about every newborn into a colorful and versatile collage. The baby's name, weight, time and date of birth, siblings, parents, and other personal information could be preserved forever in a pictorial homage to the family's special day. At first, Kris gave the personalized prints away as gifts to friends and family members with new babies. However, once the "buzz" spread on her colorful and intricate designs, she started selling them to families near and far. Being featured at a Chicago gift show in 1989 led to Kris's artwork going viral, and soon, her designs were being sold in hundreds of stores across the nation. Employees were added and a move to a studio was necessary to quickly produce more prints. However, in 1994, the conflict between running a business and being an involved mother of her two sons, Kyle and Devin, caused Kris to close up shop, until the day the company could be reawakened. 18 years later, one of Kris's sons decided to rock the cradle. Intrigued by how many people had cherished his mother's artwork, entrepreneur Devin O'Neill spearheaded the business side of what he rechristened "Buzzworthy Baby." Today, Kris keeps the initial vision of Buzzworthy Baby alive, offering the same personalized and colorful collages, as well as seeking out more creative gift ideas for new and growing families. Meanwhile, Devin ensures that Buzzworthy Baby continues to provide the quality products his mother first made famous almost thirty years ago.
