Life Force Arts Center (LFAC) is a community of artist-teacher-healers who activate the spiritual power of the visual, literary and performing arts to create transformation and community. Based in the Wheel of the Life Force and the Life Force Arts Manifesto, we focus on the arts as a common ground of human expression, where artists of diverse spiritual traditions present artistically excellent exhibits, events and publications to awaken human potential, create spiritual transformation and connect audiences to the mystical dimension. Life Force Arts Center was founded in 1988 as a non-profit, tax exempt 501 (c) 3 organization to present the modern dance and performance work of Joan Forest Mage. The organization grew to support the broader exploration of art and spirituality, opening Life Force Arts Center in Chicago in 2008. Life Force Arts Foundation, Inc. (Approved Provider Number 451592-11) is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.

Dance Chicago is a dance community festival and is held each fall at various major dance venues, including Stage 773, Mandel Hall and the Athenaeum Theatre. Since 1995, the festival has brought diverse elements of Chicago's dance community together to remove barriers that slow the growth of the art form. The only festival of it's kind using dynamic showcasing, it features over 300 Chicago area companies and independent choreographers. Dance Chicago 2012 marks the 18th season. Most companies and choreographers in the Chicago dance community have appeared in the festival. The Dance Chicago Center, located at Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 North Southport, is open for rehearsals and classes to all artists in dance, theatre, comedy, improv, music, and performance. Included are special arrangements for Dance Chicago choreographers.

The show is set in a small apartment courtyard complex located in Lincoln Park in the city of Chicago, Illinois. Several young individuals reside in the apartments, each with their own dreams and drives. The original plan for the yard was to simply set it up in a way conducive for sunbathing, but after a trip to Target, the girls decided to develop the yard into a long-term party pad for the summer. The storylines will evolve throughout the season. Dayton Place's premiere season features three main characters: Claudia, a teacher who works at Wilshire Memorial High School and changes from a kind, devoted girlfriend to mean-spirited, adulterous villain; Tiffany, a Southern belle and struggling artist who moonlights as a bartender at a bar called Shooters, the group's hangout; Cortney, their budding interior designer friend who in the series premier had guest starred as Claudia & Tiffany's ambitious and merciless friend, but then was immediately promoted to series regular status. Jessica, a photographer running away from her abusive husband, was written off after 3 days. She was not brought back, explained by her character's engagement to a wealthy restaurant entrepreneur. Recurring as the girls' troublemaking, spoiled younger friend, Kristen was upgraded to series regular and remained with the show through its series finale.
