Olson Hall is located in the Quad area and currently houses one of the most popular Residential Colleges on campus, the College of Communication and Information (CCI) Commons. The CCI Commons is open to all students majoring in Communication Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, and Visual Communication Design. Olson Hall is staffed by a Residence Hall Director (RHD), an Assistant Residence Hall Director (ARHD), and six Resident Assistants (RAs). The staff's main goals are to provide the residents with valuable information, create a positive community through educational programming, maintain a safe and high-quality living environment and serve as a resource whenever a student has a question or concern.

Lake Hall is located in the Quad area and houses the EXCEL program which offers new freshman students in the exploratory major a variety of programs and services to enhance their academic and personal success. Lake Hall is staffed by a Residence Hall Director (RHD), an Assistant Residence Hall Director (ARHD), and six Resident Assistants (RAs). Security Aides patrol all of the residence halls on campus between 8:00 pm - 2:30 am, Sunday - Wednesday and 8:00 pm - 4:00 am Thursday - Saturday. Students receive over 100 hours of training before they are permitted to be a Security Aide, are CPR/Basic First Aid trained and do rounds on their own. The Office of Safety & Security is lead by Brian Hellwig, Assistant Director for Residential Safety & Security and Carlos Mojica, Coordinator for Safety & Security.

The School of Art offers a long tradition of imagination, skill, thought and achievement in the visual arts. For its students, both current and future, its alumni and its many friends, the School of Art continues to explore ideas, foster the highest standards of craft and stimulate individual and collective creativity through its programs, curriculum and exhibitions. The School of Art is one of the largest and most comprehensive university art departments in the state and offers the only Master of Fine Arts degree program in Northeast Ohio. The Kent/Blossom programs, organized within the College of the Arts, offer advanced summer study in art, music and theatre. These programs complement the annual performance season of Blossom Music Center, summer home of the the Cleveland Orchestra. University facilities include Porthouse Theatre and Eells Art Gallery, located on the grounds of the Blossom Music Center. The Kent/Blossom Art program brings nationally celebrated visual artists to work with students during two-week intensive workshops and speak to the general public on current art issues and directions.
