Cotton Bowl Stadium is an outdoor stadium in the south central United States, located in Dallas. Opened in 1930 as Fair Park Stadium, it is located in Fair Park, site of the State Fair of Texas. Concerts or other events using a stage allow the playing field to be used for additional spectators.The Cotton Bowl was the longtime home of the annual college football post-season bowl game known as the Cotton Bowl Classic, for which the stadium is named. Starting on New Year's Day 1937, it hosted the first 63 editions of the game, through January 2009; the game was moved to AT&T Stadium in Arlington in January 2010.The stadium has been home to many football teams over the years, including: SMU Mustangs (NCAA), Dallas Cowboys (NFL; 1960–1971), Dallas Texans (NFL) (1952), Dallas Texans (AFL; 1960 - 1962), and soccer teams, the Dallas Tornado (NASL; 1967 - 1968), and FC Dallas (the Dallas Burn before 2005) (Major League Soccer; 1996 - 2002, 2004 - 2005). It was also one of the nine venues used for the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
Fair Park Coliseum is a 7,513-seat multi-purpose arena in Dallas, Texas (USA) on the Fair Park grounds. It was home to the Dallas Black Hawks ice hockey team and Dallas Chaparrals basketball team. It was built in 1955. It was also home to the new ABA's Dallas Generals for the 2009–2010 season before the franchise folded.Beginning on March 26, 2011 the State Fair Coliseum will be home to Dallas' own women's roller derby league, Assassination City Roller Derby. They are a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association.During the 1984 Dallas Grand Prix Formula One race held at Fair Park, the Coliseum doubled as the pit paddock for the Formula One teams.The Dallas Tornado soccer club hosted the four-team regionals of the 1975 NASL Indoor tournament.

The Hall of State is a building in Dallas's Fair Park that commemorates the history of the U.S. state of Texas and is considered one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in the state. It was designed and built for the Texas Centennial Exposition.HistoryBuilt in 1936 at the astronomical price of $1.2 million, the building was the most expensive per unit area of any structure built in Texas. It was designed for the centennial of the Republic of Texas by architect Donald Barthelme in the beaux arts style and is considered one of the most representative examples of art deco architecture in Texas. Most of the Art Deco ornamental metalwork, including the light fixtures were made by the John Livers Lighting company according to records from the Dallas Historical Society Centennial archives collection. The Hall of State is the culmination of the 1500ft long Esplanade of State which is flanked by six exhibition pavilions and features a long reflecting pool. It was built using Texas limestone and features memorials to many of the heroes of Texas history.CurrentThe Dallas Historical Society has been responsible for managing the Hall of State since 1938. The Hall of State is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a part of Fair Park. In 1986, the building was restored at a cost of approximately $1.5 million, and the G.B. Dealey Library was opened.

Trinity English Lutheran Church (now known as the Mount Olive Lutheran Church) is a historic Lutheran church at 3100 Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. The congregation is currently part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.The late Gothic Revival church building was constructed in 1922 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.
