المعاد، فكونوا أحراراً في دنياكم) من هو الحسين (عليه السلام) ؟ هو الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب (عليهما السلام) وأُمه فاطمة بنت محمد بن عبد الله رسول رب العالمين ونبي المسلمين الصادق الأمين، وأخوه الحسن بن علي (عليهما السلام) الذي قال الرسول الأعظم بحقه وبحق أخيه (الحسن والحسين إمامان قاما أو قعدا، اللهم إني أحبهما فأحب من يحبهما). من كنى الإمام الحسين عليه السلام (الرشيد و الوفي و الطيب و السيد الزكي و المبارك و التابع لمرضاة الله و الدليل على ذات الله و السبط...) و أعلاها رتبة ما لقبه به جده صلىالله عليه وآله في قوله عنه و عن أخيه الحسن أنهما (سيدا شباب أهل الجنة) و كذلك (السبط) لقوله صلىالله عليه وآله (حسين سبط من الأسباط). ولد الإمام الحسين عليه السلام بالمدينة في الثالث من شعبان و قيل لخمس خلون منه سنة ثلاث أو أربع من الهجرة و روى الحاكم في المستدرك من طريق محمد بن إسحاق الثقفي بسنده عن قتادة أن ولادته لست سنين و خمسة أشهر و نصف من التاريخ. و قيل ولد في أواخر ربيع الأول و قيل لثلاث أو خمس خلون من جمادى الأولى و المشهور المعروف أنه ولد في شعبان و كانت مدة حمله ستة أشهر. ولما ولد جيء به إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فاستبشر به و أذن في أذنه اليمنى و أقام في اليسرى فلما كان اليوم السابع سماه حسينا و عق عنه بكبش و أمر أن تحلق رأسه و تتصدق بوزن شعره فضة كما فعلت بأخيه الحسن فامتثلت ما أمرها به. وعن الزبير بن بكار في كتاب أنساب قريش أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله سمى حسنا و حسينا يوم سابعهما و اشتق اسم حسين من اسم حسن. وقيل ان الرسول صلى الله عليه وآله سمّاه حسيناً باسم ابن النبي هارون (شبـير) كما سمى ريحانته الأول حسناً باسم إبن النبي هارون (شبر). وروى الحاكم في المستدرك و صححه بسنده عن أبي رافع رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله أذن في أذن الحسين حين ولدته فاطمة) و بسنده (عن جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه عن جده علي عليه السلام و صححه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله أمر فاطمة فقال زني شعر الحسين و تصدقي بوزنه فضة و أعطي القابلة رجل العقيقة.) و بسنده (أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عق عن الحسن و الحسين يوم السابع و سماهما و أمر أن يماط عن رءوسهما الأذى. و بسنده عن محمد بن علي بن الحسين عن أبيه عن جده علي بن أبي طالب قال عق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عن الحسين بشاة و قال يا فاطمة احلقي رأسه و تصدقي بزنة شعره فوزناه و كان وزنه درهما و بسنده أن النبي صلىاللهعليهوآله عق عن الحسن و الحسين عن كل واحد منهما كبشين اثنين مثليين متكافيين. للإمام الحسين عليه السلام من الأولاد ستة ذكور وثلاث بنات. - علي الأكبر.. شهيد كربلاء أمه ليلى بنت أبي مرة بن عروة بن مسعود الثقفية. - علي الأوسط. - علي الأصغر زين العابدين أمه شاه زنان بنت كسرى يزدجرد ملك الفرس و معنى شاه زنان بالعربية ملكة النساء. وقال المفيد: الأكبر زين العابدين و الأصغر شهيد كربلاء و المشهور الأول. - محمد. - جعفر مات في حياة أبيه ولم يعقب أمه قضاعية. - وعبد الله الرضيع جاءه سهم و هو في حجر أبيه فذبحه. - وسكينة وأمها أم عبد الله الرضيع الرباب بنت إمرئ القيس بن عدي بن أوس بن جابر بن كعب بن عليم ، كلبية معدية. - وفاطمة أمها أم إسحاق بنت طلحة بن عبد الله تيمية. - زينب. ومن أخلاق الأمام عليه السلام أنه دخل على أسامة بن زيد و هو مريض و هو يقول وا غماه فقال و ما غمك قال ديني و هو ستون ألف درهم، فقال عليه السلام هو عليّ، قال إني أخشى أن أموت قبل أن يقضى، قال عليه السلام لن تموت حتى أقضيها عنك فقضاها قبل موته. ويذكر التأريخ أنه لما أخرج مروان الفرزدق من المدينة أتى الفرزدق الحسين عليهالسلام فأعطاه الإمام أربعمائة دينار، فقيل له إنه شاعر فاسق فقال إن خير مالك ما وقيت به عرضك و قد أثاب رسول الله صلىالله عليه وآله كعب بن زهير و قال في العباس ابن مرداس اقطعوا لسانه عني. و روى ابن عساكر في تاريخ دمشق أن سائلا خرج يتخطى أزقة المدينة حتى أتى باب الإمام الحسين فقرع الباب و أنشا يقول: لم يخب اليوم من رجاك و من حرك من خلف بابك الحلقه فأنت ذو الجود أنت معدنه أبوك قد كان قاتل الفسقة و كان الحسين واقفا يصلي فخفف من صلاته و خرج إلى الأعرابي فرأى عليه أثر ضر و فاقة فرجع و نادى بقنبر فأجابه لبيك يا ابن رسول الله (صلىالله عليه وآله) قال ما تبقى معك من نفقتنا؟قال مائتا درهم أمرتني بتفريقها في أهل بيتك فقال هاتها فقد أتى من هو أحق بها منهم فأخذها و خرج يدفعها إلى الأعرابي و أنشا يقول: خذها فإني إليك معتذر***و اعلم بأني عليك ذو شفقه لو كان في سيرنا الغداة عصا***كانت سمانا عليك مندفقه لكن ريب الزمان ذو نكد***و الكف منا قليلة النفقه فأخذها الأعرابي و ولى و هو يقول: مطهرون نقيات جيوبهم*** تجري الصلاة عليهم أينما ذكروا و أنتم أنتم الأعلون عندكم علم***الكتاب و ما جاءت به السور من لم يكن علويا حين تنسبه ***ما له في جميع الناس مفتخر وفي تحف العقول : جاءه رجل من الأنصار يريد أن يسأله حاجة فقال يا أخا الأنصار صن وجهك عن بذلة المسألة و ارفع حاجتك في رقعة فإني آت فيها ما هو سارك إن شاء الله فكتب يا أبا عبد الله إن لفلان علي خمسمائة دينار و قد ألح بي فكلمه أن ينظرني إلى ميسرة فلما قرأ الحسين عليهالسلام الرقعة دخل إلى منزله فأخرج صرة فيها ألف دينار و قال له: أما خمسمائة فاقض بها دينك و أما خمسمائة فاستعن بها على دهرك، و لا ترفع حاجتك إلا إلى ثلاثة إلى ذي دين أو مروءة أو حسب، فأما ذو الدين فيصون دينه، و أما ذو المروءة فإنه يستحيي لمروءته، و أما ذو الحسب فيعلم أنك لم تكرم وجهك أن تبذله له في حاجتك فهو يصون وجهك أن يردك بغير قضاء حاجتك. وجد على ظهره عليه السلام يوم الطف أثر فسئل زين العابدين عليهالسلام عن ذلك فقال هذا مما كان ينقل الجراب على ظهره إلى منازل الأرامل و اليتامى و المساكين. أما أصحابه أصحابه فكانوا خير أصحاب، فارقوا الأهل و الأحباب و جاهدوا دونه جهاد الأبطال و تقدموا مسرعين إلى ميدان القتال قائلين له أنفسنا لك الفداء نقيك بأيدينا و وجوهنا يضاحك بعضهم بعضا قلة مبالاة بالموت و سرورا بما يصيرون إليه من النعيم، و لما أذن لهم في الانصراف أبوا و أقسموا بالله لا يخلونه أبدا و لا ينصرفون عنه قائلين أ نحن نخلي عنك و قد أحاط بك هذا العدو و بم نعتذر إلى الله في أداء حقك، و بعضهم يقول لا و الله لا يراني الله أبدا و أنا أفعل ذلك حتى أكسر في صدورهم رمحي و أضاربهم بسيفي ما ثبت قائمه بيدي و لو لم يكن معي سلاح أقاتلهم به لقذفتهم بالحجارة و لم أفارقك أو أموت معك و بعضهم يقول و الله لو علمت إني أقتل فيك ثم أحيا ثم أحرق حيا يفعل بي ذلك سبعين مرة ما فارقتك و بعضهم يقول و الله لوددت أني قتلت ثم نشرت ألف مرة و أن الله يدفع بذلك القتل عنك و عن أهل بيتك و بعضهم يقول أكلتني السباع حيا إن فارقتك و لم يدعو أن يصل إليه أذى و هم في الأحياء و منهم من جعل نفسه كالترس له ما زال يرمي بالسهام حتى سقط و أبدوا يوم عاشوراء من الشجاعة و البسالة ما لم ير مثله فأخذت خيلهم تحمل و إنما هي اثنان و ثلاثون فارسا فلا تحمل على جانب من خيل الأعداء إلا كشفته. أما إباؤه للضيم و مقاومته للظلم و استهانته القتل في سبيل الحق و العز فقد ضربت به الأمثال و سارت به الركبان و ملئت به المؤلفات و خطبت به الخطباء و نظمته الشعراء و كان قدوة لكل أبي و مثالا يحتذيه كل ذي نفس عالية و همة سامية و منوالا ينسج عليه أهل الإباء في كل عصر و زمان و طريقا يسلكه كل من أبت نفسه الرضا بالدنية و تحمل الذل و الخنوع للظلم، و قد أتى الحسين عليه السلام في ذلك بما حير العقول و أذهل الألباب و أدهش النفوس و ملأ القلوب و أعيا الأمم عن أن يشاركه مشارك فيه و أعجز العالم أن يشابهه أحد في ذلك أو يضاهيه و أعجب به أهل كل عصر و بقي ذكره خالدا ما بقي الدهر، أبى أن يبايع يزيد بن معاوية السكير الخمير صاحب الطنابير و القيان و اللاعب بالقرود و المجاهر بالكفر و الإلحاد و الاستهانة بالدين. قائلا لمروان و على الإسلام السلام إذ قد بليت الأمة براع مثل يزيد ، و لأخيه محمد بن الحنفية : و الله لو لم يكن في الدنيا ملجأ و لا مأوى لما بايعت يزيد بن معاوية ، في حين أنه لو بايعه لنال من الدنيا الحظ الأوفر و النصيب الأوفى و لكان معظما محترما عنده مرعي الجانب محفوظ المقام لا يرد له طلب و لا تخالف له إرادة لما كان يعلمه يزيد من مكانته بين المسلمين و ما كان يتخوفه من مخالفته له و ما سبق من تحذير أبيه معاوية له من الحسين فكان يبذل في إرضائه كل رخيص و غال، و لكنه أبى الانقياد له قائلا: إنا أهل بيت النبوة و معدن الرسالة و مختلف الملائكة بنا فتح الله و بنا ختم و يزيد رجل فاسق شارب الخمر قاتل النفس المحترمة و مثلي لا يبايع مثله، فخرج من المدينة بأهل بيته و عياله و أولاده، ملازما للطريق الأعظم لا يحيد عنه، فقال له أهل بيته: لو تنكبته كما فعل ابن الزبير كيلا يلحقك الطلب، فأبت نفسه أن يظهر خوفا أو عجزا و قال: والله لا أفارقه حتى يقضي الله ما هو قاض، و لما قال له الحر : أذكرك الله في نفسك فإني أشهد لئن قاتلت لتقتلن، أجابه الحسين عليه السلام مظهرا له استهانة الموت في سبيل الحق و نيل العز، فقال له: أ فبالموت تخوفني و هل يعدو بكم الخطب أن تقتلوني، و سأقول كما قال أخو الأوس و هو يريد نصرة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله فخوفه ابن عمه و قال: أين تذهب فإنك مقتول: فقال: سأمضي و ما بالموت عار على الفتى *** إذا ما نوى حقا و جاهد مسلم اأقدم نفسي لا أريد بقاءها *** لتلقي خميسا في الوغى و عرمرم فإن عشت لم أندم و إن مت لم ألم *** كفى بك ذلا أن تعيش فترغما يقول الحسين عليه السلام : ليس شأني شأن من يخاف الموت ما أهون الموت علي في سبيل نيل العز و إحياء الحق ليس الموت في سبيل العز إلا حياة خالدة، و ليست الحياة مع الذل إلا الموت الذي لا حياة معه، أ فبالموت تخوفني هيهات طاش سهمك و خاب ظنك لست أخاف الموت إن نفسي لأكبر من ذلك و همتي لأعلى من أن أحمل الضيم خوفا من الموت و هل تقدرون على أكثر من قتلي مرحبا بالقتل في سبيل الله و لكنكم لا تقدرون على هدم مجدي و محو عزي و شرفي فإذا لا أبالي بالقتل. وهو القائل: موت في عز خير من حياة ذل، وكان يحمل يوم الطف و هو يقول: الموت خير من ركوب العار***والعار أولى من دخول النار لما أحيط به بكربلاء و قيل له: أنزل على حكم بني عمك، قال: لا و الله!لا أعطيكم بيدي إعطاء الذليل و لا أقر إقرار العبيد، فاختار المنية على الدنية و ميتة العز على عيش الذل، و قال: إلا أن الدعي ابن الدعي قد ركز بين اثنتين السلة و الذلة و هيهات منا الذلة يأبى الله ذلك لنا و رسوله و المؤمنون و جدود طابت و حجور طهرت و أنوف حمية و نفوس أبية لا تؤثر طاعة اللئام على مصارع الكرام.أقدم الحسين عليهالسلام على الموت مقدما نفسه و أولاده و أطفاله و أهل بيته للقتل قربانا وفاء لدين جده صلىالله عليه وآله بكل سخاء و طيبة نفس و عدم تردد. أما شجاعته فقد أنست شجاعة الشجعان و بطولة الأبطال و فروسية الفرسان من مضى و من سيأتي إلى يوم القيامة، فهو الذي دعا الناس إلى المبارزة فلم يزل يقتل كل من برز إليه حتى قتل مقتلة عظيمة، و هو الذي قال فيه بعض الرواة: و الله ما رأيت مكثورا قط قد قتل ولده و أهل بيته و أصحابه أربط جاشا و لا أمضى جنانا و لا أجرأ مقدما منه و الله ما رأيت قبله و لا بعده مثله و إن كانت الرجالة لتشد عليه فيشد عليها بسيفه فتنكشف عن يمينه و عن شماله انكشاف المعزى إذا شد فيها الذئب، و لقد كان يحمل فيهم فينهزمون من بين يديه كأنهم الجراد المنتشر، و هو الذي حين سقط عن فرسه إلى الأرض و قد أثخن بالجراح، قاتل راجلا قتال الفارس الشجاع يتقي الرمية و يفترص العورة. ويشد على الشجعان و هو يقول: أعلي تجتمعون، و هو الذي جبن الشجعان و أخافهم و هو بين الموت و الحياة حين بدر خولي ليحتز رأسه فضعف و أرعد.و في ذلك يقول السيد حيدر الحلي : عفيرا متى عاينته الكماة***يختطف الرعب ألوانها فما أجلت الحرب عن مثله***قتيلا يجبن شجعانها وهو الذي صبر على طعن الرماح و ضرب السيوف و رمي السهام حتى صارت السهام في درعه كالشوك في جلد القنفذ و حتى وجد في ثيابه مائة و عشرون رمية بسهم و في جسده ثلاث و ثلاثون طعنة برمح و أربع و ثلاثون ضربة بسيف. هذا الحسين بن علي بن ابي طالب عليهم السلام سيد الشهداء وأبو الأحرار.

Ten of the General Authority members can nominate and then four of them who will get the majority of votes will be board of trustees’ members. These four members will compete in the elections to get the following positions: l. Chairman: Who will get the Majority of votes. 2. Vice President: will be nominated by the Chairman. 3. The Secretary: Will be nominated up to the agreement between the Chairman and the Vice President. 4. The Accountant: Will be nominated up to the agreement between the Chairman and the Vice President. Board of Trustees has the right to call for the general authority meeting once a year. 50% of the General Authority members have the right to call for the general authority meeting. Keep in consideration; the Board of Trustees has the right to call for that meeting in emergency situations only. The General Authority will renew the Board of Trustees each five years and up to the majority votes. The Board of Trustees members are the Organization official representatives according to the US laws and rules. In case one the Board of Trustees members will resigns, relocated, or passed away so a new member will be elected by the majority members of Board of Trustees. His/hers temporary membership will be valid till the next election. Administrative Board: Consists of Seven members. Each member helps three of the General Authority members. These seven members elected by the General Authority members. The elected Administrative Board valid for two years. The Board of Trustees member can be an Administrative Board member as well. General Functions of the Administrative Board: General Cultural and educational activities through several committees. The General Authority board establishes the committees up the community needs. The committees are: Educational committee: Running the schools, the Arabic language classes, and the running the Arabic library. Public Relation and Social Committee: Solve the families’ problems, consultants, advising, and running community field trips. Athletic Committee: Supporting the Athletes and guide the sport teams up the community needs. General Service Committee: Such as cleaning, cooking, and security guards.

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells became a licensed Non-Profit Animal Rescue Group in the summer of 2009! We are based out of Jewell Animal Hospital, and founded by Patricia L. Smith, DVM. The name Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is in honor of Dr. Smith’s mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Since starting rescue work in 2006 Judy’s Forgotten Jewells has placed over 500 Dogs, Cats, Puppies, & Kittens in forever loving homes! Most of our animals come from shelters where they were at risk of being euthanized! We are run solely on volunteers and clinic staff! Our adoption fee helps cover a fraction of the cost to spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip implantation & activation, medical treatment, and any food used to feed the animal! We are a NO KILL rescue, so once an animal is adopted that opens up a space for us to bring in a new at risk animal! We are very passionate about our rescues and strongly encourage all pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to help end the cycle of pet overpopulation!

On June 12th, 2011, Stephen West suffered severe head trauma during a tragic automobile accident and passed away June 13th. Stephen was one of the most kind and genuine individuals anyone could meet and was called a friend by everyone. To celebrate his life, Stephen's family and friends have established a 501(3)(c), a non-for profit foundation. This foundation was established in Stephen’s name to create opportunities to help students with their education and to give back to the educational institutions, which helped form Stephen into the person he was. The foundation has established an endowment with Rockhurst University for a scholarship named the Stephen M West Memorial Scholarship. The foundation has also presented over $30,000 to St. Joan of Arc School with tuition assistance since 2014. The foundation has set aside half of our goal with the hope of presenting a check to CBC High School this year to create a scholarship. Stephen was a 2003 graduate of St. Joan of Arc school in St. Louis, a 2007 graduate of CBC High School in St. Louis, and a 2011 graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration, and he was enrolled in the MBA program at Rockhurst University at the time of his accident. He was an active member on campus at Rockhurst as an Ambassador giving tours, as the President of the Financial and Accounting Student Body, and as a very active member in his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha.
