Semple Mansion was originally constructed as a residential mansion for Frank and Anne Semple and their family. In 1899, construction began on this three story mansion in the Second Italian Renaissance Revival style. The majority of the third floor holds The Grand Palladian Ballroom, the largest original residential ballroom in Minnesota. Today, Semple Mansion holds several stunning rooms for ceremonies, receptions, social hours and relaxing.

We want the community to know that all proceeds from the Basilica Block Party benefit two areas: funding our ongoing renovation efforts of the Basilica, and supporting the St. Vincent de Paul outreach program that provides food and other services to those in need. Over the last 18 years, we are proud the Block Party has become a favorite summertime event in the Twin Cities celebrating music, good weather and community, while raising money to preserve a historic landmark that has been an integral part of our community for more than a century.

TigerLion Arts (TLA), founded by Markell Kiefer and Tyson Forbes, is a Minneapolis-based production company whose vision is to celebrate human wisdom and the spirit of nature through creative works that awaken, inform, and delight. For more than ten years, TLA has touched the lives of tens of thousands nationwide with five original productions: The Buddha Prince, a play about the life and culture of the 14th Dalai Lama, performed in New York City's Central Park and endorsed with high acclaim by the Office of Tibet; Buddha Prince Backstage, a PBS documentary featuring the inspired creation process with the Minnesota Tibetan community, along with the unique ‘walking play’ style for which TLA is renowned. Nature, the outdoor telling of Emerson and Thoreau's mutual love affair with the natural world, created by Emerson’s descendent Tyson Forbes; KIPO!, a circus of spirit, song, and dance from Tibet, an official event of the Dalai Lama’s 2011 Minnesota Visit; and The Dragons Are Singing Tonight, a musical adaptation of Children's Poet Laureate Jack Prelutsky’s book of dragon poems, which performed its flying dragon finale at the 2012 Ivey Awards. Funded by the Minnesota State Arts Board, Dragons also offered an extensive music and puppetry residency program to the Minneapolis and Robbinsdale Public Schools. TLA serves communities of all ages and backgrounds, inspiring good human values and a love of nature through the arts and social empowerment. Founded in 1949 as a separate non-profit dedicated to supporting the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, the original name of our organization was the Women's Association of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, or WAMSO. Today, our name not only reflects the updated name of the Orchestra, but also the current composition of our members and volunteers: men and women from various backgrounds, from students to retirees. Since our inception, Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra has contributed more than 10 million dollars to the Minnesota Orchestra. We also coordinate 500+ volunteers, who donate more than 10,000 hours each year to fulfilling our mission.

Members of Women's Giving have the opportunity to connect with other women at exclusive events, develop professionally and have a positive, and direct impact in the lives of women and children.
The original purpose of Modern Poly was to be a hub of resources and information created by the original four. As we thought about it, we realized that it would be a lot cooler if instead of being "spokespeople" and info gatherers, that we instead created tools for others to make their mark on poly culture. We want to create the next group of polyamorous bloggers, podcasters, and vidcasters. This is why we encourage others to submit articles for our site - so that we can promote them! :) We also saw the invisible walls that were keeping poly people from connecting with each other, even in their own cities. Few of us have the luxury to be "out" publicly, so it is hard to find others that share our beliefs in loving openly and honestly. When we started Modern Poly, the majority of the social sites out there that welcomed polyamorous people were either dating sites, pay-for-feature sites, or social networks where another alternative lifestyles/philosophies were the main common bond. The alternative sites are awesome, but where is a consciously mainstream poly person supposed to meet people? This is why we created our community site to help the members of the poly community at large connect with others either locally or globally. Since the official launch of the social network site, we have had hundreds of poly people of different walks of life become members and find their online community. To help bridge the virtual-to-real gap, we also created a wiki to help gather information about the different polyamory communities around the world. Our hope is that the group wiki project not only becomes a way for people to find their local poly support/social/outreach groups, but that it also becomes an ongoing documentary of the growth of public awareness and acceptance about polyamory. Justice first requires access. Call for Justice, LLC ("C4J") is committed to our mission: To improve access to justice by connecting low-income people to existing legal resources, in partnership with United Way 211 and others. One important goal of C4J is to make legal referrals more effective and efficient for low and moderate-income people in Hennepin and Ramsey Counties. We do this first by working with United Way 211 and by keeping referral-related information up-to-date between legal and social service providers. We also run the C4J Legal Liaison Program, which works to increase knowledge about resources and needs in the nonprofit legal and social service communities. Our outreach efforts include speaking to community groups, presenting on legal resources in Greater MN, a regular newsletter, and use of social media.
