The Wicker Park Tavern is a Sports Bar located in the heart of Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. Six Corners as most people will call it. And probably the BEST corner in the city to people watch. We are a sports bar so we do put the volume on a game from time to time. But we also have a jukebox so you can play the music YOU choose. Not only does The Tavern support our local Chicago sports teams, but we are huge supporters of the Michigan State Spartans and turn up the volume for most Spartan Games! So come to The Tavern and Eat, Drink, and Party!
Conceived with seasonality in mind the menu is focused on local, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients whenever possible. The culinary team's award winning creations are complimented by a farm-to-bar beverage program of artisan cocktails featuring small batch spirits, craft beer, and outstanding sustainable wines that come together to create an exciting dining experience. prasino, the Greek word for green, was inspired by a Mediterranean lifestyle which incorporates fresh, local and seasonal food, wines produced by family-owned vineyards, and artisan spirits enjoyed in a simple yet beautiful setting. The restaurants reflect modern interpretation of that lifestyle. We are proud to present our contemporary American menu in a refreshing, comfortable atmosphere that celebrates the love of great food, good conversation and community. Current locations in Chicago, La Grange, IL and St Charles, MO.
The Anthem is retro-inspired SPORTS BAR (from the team behind Bangers & Lace) in the Wicker Park neighborhood. The space features various vintage design elements such as vintage school lockers, trophies and wood paneling that evokes the old woodie station wagons, aimed to create a comfortable throwback experience while watching the game. Unlike the prototypical modern sports bar, The Anthem doesn't have 100 TVs but instead features two massive projectors (190" & 150") and seven 60” TVs – ample coverage to enjoy the day’s big game or match, yet not intrusive enough to dominate the aesthetic. Neighborhood patrons and sports fans alike will be able to enjoy the recreational vibe and evoke a nostalgic feeling when playing and watching sports was solely for the love of the game. On weekends and for special events, The Anthem morphs into a more "recreational" atmosphere, with DJs spinning and a "Chicago bar" feel. Chicago's historical alternative/punk rock underground birthplace Phyllis' Musical Inn spawned Veruca Salt, catalyzed Wicker Park's 1990s creative class, and hosted My Morning Jacket's first Chicago show. An intimate outpost in a now-transformed landscape, Phyllis' Musical Inn provides alternative leisure to Wicker Park's gentrified classes, ubiquitous hipsters, and stubbornly entrenched artists, recording professionals, luthiers, musicians, and writers who feed on the area's persevering postindustrial vibe.
