Kismet is a duo of dreamers doing all the things their favorite forerunners imbued in them. Sonia, for instance, worked at a Recycling Center where she learned to utilize materials donated from the community to use toward creative play, engaging whole families or one child at a time. More impressively, Sonia has worked at Art City in City Museum for 11 years. She celebrated her 11th year July 2 of 2014. Tom, on the other hand, was inspired by a shop in Omaha, NE Called the Antiquarium that sold records, books and art and provided a safe place for locals to hang out, drink coffee, read books, play chess, and philosophize. Later on in life, inspired by said cultural center, Tom moved to Durango, Colorado where he opened his own record store / art gallery / venue which lasted 4 years. A large part of Tom’s music collection comes from this endeavor. Following Durango, Tom moved to Denver where he worked at one of the finest record stores in the country for 2 more years.

Frazer Cameron, chef and owner of Frazers restaurant, formerly known as The Traveling Brown Bag, has traveled the US from coast to coast and all over the world experiencing his love for the arts and for fine cuisine. He opened the doors to his restaurant in Benton Park in the winter of 1992, taking what he learned on his explorations and infusing it into the dishes he creates. The entrees at Frazers are inspired by tastes from around the globe, including French, Moroccan, Italian, Mexican, and Cajun. From New Orleans to The Mediterranean, his dishes are one of a kind. The ever-changing menu at Frazers features steaks and chops, a variety of fresh seafood dishes, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The delicious homemade desserts are superb. There is certainly a dish to delight you whatever your tastes. The knowledgeable, outgoing, and caring staff are true food and wine enthusiasts. Relax and enjoy as they guide you smoothly through dinner. All this combined with the natural energy and casual ambience will surely make for a memorable dining experience. When Frazers first opened with just 25 seats for lunch only, meals were served on paper plates with plastic utensils. Because of the small capacity many customers ordered their food to go in "the traveling brown bags." This April, after completing a recent renovation of the bar, which includes an outdoor patio, there will be seating for 125 guests. Thirteen years and growing Frazers is still sharing its good eats with everyone who comes through the door. Between the comforting food, carefully selected wine list, signature martinis, and decadent desserts, Frazers offers a wonderful creation for everyone. From KSDK News Channel 5

Capitalist Pig takes its inspiration from the idea of fine, handcrafted barbecue. It's a step above the rest. Our artisan barbeque is made with care, using old-fashioned smoking and curing methods that take more time and produce a better product. It is the juxtaposition of fine food and the time-honored tradition of making great meat. This is barbecue at its best. At Capitalist Pig, we are passionate about barbeque. We are also passionate about our community. We want to show our customers and our city that it is possible to operate a business that is sustainable and environmentally sound. We support local farmers and procure our products from sustainable sources. Small, family-owned farms produce our pork, beef and chicken without hormones or antibiotics. The farmers take great care in raising the animals and protecting the environment. Animals are not caged or stacked, and factory-farming practices are not used. Additionally, we practice recycling and composting. You will not find Styrofoam carryout containers at Capitalist Pig. Our containers are compostable. From farm to table, we have created an environmentally conscious, artisan barbecue experience that ends with you enjoying delicious food you can feel good about.

Since 1995, Yemanja Brasil has been a focal point for Brazilian culture and cuisine. We are located in the Benton Park district; just 5 minutes from Downtown St. Louis at 2900 Missouri Ave. A visit is like a trip to Brazil without the airfare. Hammocks sway from the ceiling and others serve as clever window coverings. Artwork by owner, Lemya Sidki & her mother, Cathleen Sidki. The restaurant is alive with a warm, relaxed feel. Seasonal dining can be enjoyed outside on our tropical, garden patio. We can accommodate intimate or large groups for meetings, buffets, and cocktail parties. We also offer full catering services.
