Our history has taught us that the Y will always be relevant, as long as we adapt to serve the ever-changing needs of our members. The Gateway Region Y is a nonprofit corporation specializing in health and fitness, work with families, youth camping, values and character building. We are part of the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Everything we do is designed to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve health and well-being, and motivate people to support their neighbors and communities. Our Y has 24 traditional branches and two Campus Y student leadership organizations. Our Y also includes YMCA Camp Lakewood and Trout Lodge in Potosi, Mo and the Community Services Y in Illinois. The Carondelet Park Rec Complex is owned by the City of St. Louis and operated by the Y. The YMCA of Greater St. Louis and the YMCA of Southwest Illinois merged in 2015 to become the Gateway Region Y.

Lab1500 is founded on the principle that collaboration drives innovation. It is a cool, comfortable space where seasoned and aspiring entrepreneurs can join together to cultivate ideas, host meetings and attend events. Owners Dan Lohman and Jan Andersen spent countless hours at dining room tables and local coffee shops while developing their first of many business ventures together, Ignition Tank. Like many entrepreneurs they encountered the challenge of finding places in St. Louis where they could meet with business partners and interact with others. In true entrepreneurial fashion, they embraced the need and opened Lab1500, a space where creative minds go to do business. A project of Ignition Tank, Lab1500 takes over the first floor of its headquarters at 1500 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis. The nearly 120 year-old building was renovated in 2012 to capture the industrial yet rustic essence of the once abandoned factory. Exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and intricate ceiling tiles make up just a few of the historic elements that were restored and combined with modern-day technology for a creative vibe. Lab1500 is unique in that it’s open to entrepreneurs of all backgrounds and truly promotes interaction. For a minimal fee, members have access to amenities including a beverage bar, WiFi, lounge seating, a resource library, co-working desks, conference rooms and a classroom. Additionally, business-related classes and networking events are hosted at the space on a regular basis. Membership at Lab1500 offers more than just a desk. It gives back to its members by creating a place to be inspired and inspire others.

Northside Workshop (NSW) is a nonprofit art space dedicated to addressing cultural and community issues in North Saint Louis. A collaboration between the Old North Saint Louis Restoration Group, the Kranzberg Arts Foundation and Artist/Cultural Activist Juan WIlliam Chávez, restored a historic brick building in danger of being destroyed and transformed it into an art space. Northside Workshop’s high-impact programming and projects incorporates socially engaged art, education and creative placemaking that engross the community in creative projects that focus on community identified issues developed through partnerships and collaborations. Since launching our community-based programs in 2010, we have saved and completely restored our brick building on Saint Louis Avenue and further contributed to the beautification of the neighborhood by initiating youth programming in the form of beekeeping and urban agriculture on-site. This year we were able to expand the number of students participating in the Young Honey Crew program with support from Ovation Television Network. These funds additionally allowed us to purchase necessary beekeeping and gardening equipment, as well as art supplies. Our food program also grew this year taking food from seed-to-table by teaching Young Honey Crew members how to incorporate fresh ingredients grown on-site into nutritious recipes.

The St.Louis Rams were established in 1995 after moving from Los Angeles, CA. The greatest owner ever Georgia Frontierre moved them because of a pathetic fanbase. While people in L.A refuse to admit it the rams suffered several blackouts in Los Angeles. Even though their the second biggest market in the world their just not capable of supporting a N.F.L team. While even the rams over a 5 year span have just a record of 15-65 their attendance numbers are still better then L.A St.Louis has always supported the rams L.A not so much. Is it me or is it obvious they belong in the greatest sports town in the world St.Louis, MO. In their 17 year history in St.Louis the rams have 6 playoff appearences, 2 conference championships, and a superbowl championship. How many superbowls did they win in L.A as many as i have ZERO. Did L.A ever have the G.S.O.T i don't think so all signs point to the rams staying just remember one thing STL rams forever and L.A sucks. Everyone in STL rams fans around the world join the cause.

Advice from other moms should never replace the advice from medical experts. If you have questions or concerns about your health or your baby’s well-being you should always contact your physician or a lactation consultant.

There is no cover charge and drinks are paid for by individuals. ------------------ In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxGatewayArch, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxGatewayArch event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
