About the Play: Giselle Davis, an African American woman becomes World Chess Champion just as Cormorant Technologies, Corporation, a tech company headed by her college rapist, Rodney "Hotrod" Hampton, unveils a super computer system which proves by moving first, White should always win. The play examines the actions and moral dilemmas of six students and their philosophy professor, while at college and at Cormorant, 25 years later. Exploring corporate technology and responsibility, religion, race relations and more, the play questions the causal relationships of events and outcomes thru the duality of determinism vs. free will, as deconstructed by classical physics vs. quantum mechanics. About the Playwright: Richard Hart McMahon grew up playing competitive chess in rural, NJ and went on to graduate Wagner College ('72) with a B.S. in Chemistry and minor in Philosophy. He began his career at the American Institute of Physics and then worked for a Fortune 500 global manufacturing company for 20 years in Planning and Development positions. During this time he moved to NYC and in 2000 embarked on a new career in investment banking. 1.White Wins!? reflects Rich’s wide-ranging work experiences and lifelong interest in chess, science and exploring our current condition and moral dilemmas through physics, philosophy and religion. Rich currently lives in South Salem, NY with his wife, Barbara.

Nelson & Steve Nelson Flores: As producer and director of Latin Madness, Nelson was instrumental in the development of this creative project. It is no surprise that one of the concepts of Latin Madness was born out of Nelson's love of comedy and Latin dance. Prior to embarking into the world of Latin dance Nelson was involved in the production of comedy shows. As a member of Laff-A-Lot Productions Nelson worked with New York's top stand-up comedians. Once he was bitten by the "Mambo Bug" Nelson began taking dance lessons with the masters of New York Mambo. He quickly moved on to become a dancer in several dance companies: Fuerza Latina, Mario Diaz Dance Revue and the Santo Rico Dance Company. Today in addition to being one of the "Masters of New York Mambo" himself, Nelson is the director of his own dance group, the Descarga Latina Dance Company. Nelson's dancing and choreography skills have taken him to Japan, Turkey, Italy, Belgium, Amsterdam, England, Peru, Germany, Canada, and throughout the United States. He has performed with Tito Puente, Tito Nieves, Celia Cruz, Fania All-Stars, India, El Gran Combo, Jose Alberto "El Canario" and various other artists. But it was his desire to combine the lightheartedness of comedy and the intensity of Mambo that gave birth to Latin Madness.

In 2005, shortly after her move to the United States, Angeles together with former dance partner Michael Nadtochi founded TangOblivion Dance Company and in 2009 Argentine Tango Academy which offers dance lessons, coaching classes and milongas in New York and the metro area. In 2015 after many years of research Angeles developed "Holistic Tango" a new approach to healing based on the power of the Embrace to bring love, peace and joy to ourselves and to everyone around us. Currently Angeles teaches in Los Angeles, California
