McAllister Tower Apartments is a 28-story, 94m residential apartment skyscraper at 100 McAllister Street in San Francisco, California. The property is owned and operated by the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. The tower includes mixed-use offices on various floors, and the Art Deco-styled "Sky Room" with a panoramic view on the 24th floor.Conceived as an unusual combination of a large church surmounted by a hotel, construction of the building brought architectural dispute. Initially designed by Timothy L. Pflueger in the style of Gothic Revival, the investors fired his firm and hired Lewis P. Hobart, who changed little of Pflueger's design. In a resulting lawsuit, Pflueger won nearly half the damages he asked for. The building opened in 1930 as the William Taylor Hotel and Temple Methodist Episcopal Church. However, extra construction expenses had put the congregation at greater financial risk, and the church-hotel concept did not prove popular. No profit was made in six years, and the church left, losing their investment. In the late 1930s the building housed the Empire Hotel, known for its Sky Room lounge, then from World War II to the 1970s, 100 McAllister served as U.S. government offices.Reopening as university housing and offices in 1981, McAllister Tower is home to some 300 law students and their families. "The Tower" is sited one block from the administrative and scholastic center of Hastings College of the Law, and is the most prominent building in the district.

Laura Taylor entered real estate sales in 1983 after a career in pediatric intensive care nursing at the University of California, San Francisco. During her years as a nurse at UCSF, Laura held a dynamic position which involved traveling and teaching in combination with the delivery of highly skilled bedside nursing. Although a native of Vermont, Laura has lived in San Francisco since 1973. It was her interest in local architecture and the often curious evolution of the diverse neighborhoods of the city that propelled Laura into real estate sales. Since the beginning of her career, Laura has experienced tremendous success selling houses, condominiums, residential investment properties, and new development projects throughout the various neighborhoods of San Francisco, often receiving distinguished awards as a "Top Producer." Laura has gained wide attention for her innovative advertising. Of special note was her marketing of 710 Ashbury, the old "Grateful Dead" house which was showcased on the front page of the Chronicle, as well as being featured on CNN, BBC, The London Times, and many other papers worldwide. While productivity is always a hallmark within the industry, those who give back to the community from which they have received so much, should be mentioned. With each commission check earned, Laura donates a percentage that is distributed among many local charities. You will find Laura`s many years of sales experience and involvement in the community have provided her with a commitment to excellence which helps her clients maximize their real estate goals.

Real estate in San Francisco is as unique and unpredictable as the city itself, and that is what we fall in love with, over and over. To us, a home is much more than four walls. It is where our lives happen. It's where we bring home our newborns, raise our kids, live our lives. Homes are where we live out our dreams. It is our purpose to commit to your dream. When working with you, we promise to: Always tell you the truth, even when it's something you won't want to hear Negotiate as if it were our own money Focus on the big picture Think outside the box Find a creative and customized solution to your unique situation Erase stress Because it's always easier to work with someone you know, here's a bit about us: We are in the top 1% of real estate agents in the City, which makes us very happy. We love being good at what we do and recognized by our peers, so naturally ranking in the top 1% is something that means a great deal to us...

Credentials I am John Solaegui (say it like So-Leggy) and I have enjoyed being a top residential real estate agent since 2003, consistently ranking in the top 3% in sales production San Francisco and in the top 0.1% nationwide. I earned the America’s Best Real Estate Agents badge an annual ranking sponsored by REAL Trends/Trulia, a real estate analytics firm. I am a member of the Top Agent Network and former CFO and Board Member at the San Francisco Association of Realtors. Lifelong Passion for Home One of my most vivid childhood memories was utilizing building blocks, tinker toys and Lego’s to build homes, mansions and castles for my family and friends. I collected house plans while my friends collected baseball cards! I moved to the Bay Area shortly after graduating from the University of Nevada with a degree in Accounting and Finance. While earning my MBA at UC Berkeley, I took every real estate course offered, including finance, marketing and design/development. The experience that most defined my passion for Home was the opportunity to transform a Pacific Heights “haunted” house into a stunning San Francisco Victorian. The transformation and eventual sale of that house propelled me from being a CPA and financial professional into residential real estate many years ago. Respect and Being Present Ask my clients and they will tell you that I approach each person with a profound respect and awareness that my clients are entrusting me with one of their most valuable and personal assets, their Home. I sincerely desire to understand my clients’ wants and needs and maximize their experience on their own terms. With a calm demeanor I can expertly guide my clients through the emotional aspects of real estate, whether it be purchasing their first condo or marketing their multi-million dollar residence. I have a dedicated support staff which enables me to take the extra time to be present with my clients at every critical stage of the process. Experience and Excellence Through my first-hand experience in renovating and developing my own properties, I have cultivated a keen eye for maximizing the unique potential of each Home. I set exceptionally high standards for my work with my clients and I am constantly studying the ever-changing real estate market. My style is to be diligent in client communications and follow-up and to remain available to address any concerns that may arise during a transaction. I enjoy excellent relationships with my colleagues in the real estate industry, which always comes in handy while I negotiate the best possible outcome for you!
