Warehouse hours/phone number. Number of business/residential stops (addresses), & books needed. Book log (books taken out of the warehouse). Bulk locations & Held bulk locations (Do Not Deliver List). Pick up your books: Bring the delivery route with you each time you pick up books. Always check with Yellow Book USA representative first to get total books needed for a route, multiple trips may be needed. Use care when transporting/handling/storing/ (dry place) the books. Count the number of bundles loaded to avoid possible errors. Range Sheet: List of streets & address ranges you are responsible for delivering. Starred streets: Street on the range sheet with a star next to it. Possible streets in/around your route, not included in listings. If residents/businesses are found, deliver between address ranges. Will increase stops/books when documented on last page of route. If starred street is not found note on address add on sheet. Map: Thrid page of the delivery route will be a map showing the area contractor is responsible for delivering. Delivery Addresses: The following pages will be a breakdown of all individual addresses contractor is required to deliver. This is where you will start documentation of the number of books delivered to each address. Businesses will also be required to document the name of the person who accepted the phone books. Residential Delivery: 1 book placed in a bag on the hinge side of the door, delivered only during daylight hours. Do not throw the book! Do not place the book in newpaper tubes. Do not place the book in, on, or near a mailbox. This is a federal offense. Do not enter anyone’s home or garage. Do not place book on hooks, doorknobs, or in between glass doors/screen doors. If resident is outside & wants extra books (up to 3) write their name next to their address. Apartment Complexes/Secured Buildings 1 book hinge side of the door to each unit If complex is secured ask apartment manager how they would like delivery If office is closed, contact the YB Rep. for further instructions. Safety/Unusual Circumstances: If “No Trespassing”, “Beware of Dog”, or “Private Property”, sign is present, place the book at the end of the fence or driveway, and note this on the route next to address. If you cannot deliver to a resident, write down the reason why (vacant, etc). If address is not listed on your route, but falls within the ranges, write the address in and leave a book. Business Delivery: Delivery Hours: Monday-Friday, normal business hours Business Requests: Provide the business with as many copies as they request up to 50 books. Record the book amount in the LRG column in the route. Print the name of the person who accepted the books on the “contact”, line. Do not write on the lines to the right of phone numbers. Unusual circumstances: If bus. is closed during normal bus. hrs, bag 2 books and place next to a door. On the contact line, write date/time & 2 books in the LRG column. Home businesses, do same as above. If you can’t deliver a business, indicate why (vacant, refused, moved) & 0 in the LRG column. When del. to a secured high-rise/office building & can’t gain access, to each individual unit, do not leave bundles of bks in the lobby, contact Yellow Book. If business is not listed on your route, but falls within the ranges to deliver, Indicate business name, address, contact name, number of books received and phone number on the route. Completion of the Route: Given 3 business days to complete & return the route, along with any extra bks & bags. Add up all stops/books & write on last page in the separate columns. Route goes though verification, and then payment is made (may take 7-10 bus days). If locations are missed, delivery must be made before payment issued. Final Reminders: Drive safely; you are responsible for all tickets/accidents/property damage. If someone requests a book you are not delivering, give them the number 800/373-3280.
