The Goody Goody Diner Reviews

5900 Natural Bridge Ave
St. Louis, MO 63120

(314) 383-3333

A true St. Louis dining icon, Goody Goody opened as a walk-up root beer stand in 1931. In those days, it is said, children hollered "goody goody" when their parents brought them back to eat, and the name stuck. In the 1940s it was converted into a hot-food drive-in, and by the 1950s when Herb and Viola Connelly bought Goody Goody, it was the place to be for hot-rod cruising after dark. The Connellys' son, Richard, added the family name when he took over the business. While St. Louis and it's neighborhoods have changed through the years, Goody Goody has remained a mainstay for the entire community. It's a destination of choice for tourists from around the nation, and has recently been named one of the nation's TOP 15 DINERS by MSN. The Goody Goody menu is as diverse as the St. Louis community itself. "We've changed many items on our menu over the years," Connelly says, "but the way we prepare our hamburgers will never change. They're not fancy - they're just GOOD!" The large menu (featuring breakfast until closing) ranges from a varity of breakfast plates, griddle fare (including hotcakes and french toast), omelets (featuring the famous Wilbur), to chicken 'n waffles, and delicious made-to-order eggs. Hungry for lunch? Try one of our burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups or one of our many entrees, including pork chops, roast beef and homemade meatloaf. "We are not fast food," Connelly says, "just good food as fast as possible". And the regulars agree.

We are the London’s Wing House, formerly known as London & Sons Wing House, a family owned business which has operated in the St. Louis community for over 40 years. Founded by Dale & Hildred L.C. London in 1963, our family worked hard to establish ourselves in the community as tough, committed people turning an idea and concept into a successful, black owned business which lasted for almost 5 decades. Our product line features our uniquely seasoned and battered wings, smothered in our special sauces, giving us a definite edge in the St. Louis market area. With this edge, we have been able to position ourselves as one of the most well known, family owned and operated restaurants in this region. Our customers have supported us from near and far for years. Our concept has proven to be popular and widely accepted as evidenced by the number of restaurants in the industry which have adopted our concept of featuring wings as the headline item.
