Since starting her career as a real estate agent over 8 years ago, Bridget Rodriguez has quickly become one of the most successful young agents in the St. Louis area. Raised in Creve Coeur, Bridget knows the ins and outs of St. Louis County well. After attending St. Joseph’s Academy High School and receiving her bachelors degree at Regis University in Denver, Bridget moved back to St. Louis and purchased a home in South St. Louis City. My First 5k! is a concept born from my first 5k. When I ran my first 5k I trained for nearly six months to accomplish my goal. I went from sedentary to running a full 5k which I though was an unattainable goal for myself. The feeling of pride that I had when I crossed the finish line is indescribable and my hope with My First 5k! is that we can help others achieve the same feeling in a safe and encouraging environment, running their first 5k with a team of others who are feeling the exact same pride and struggle that they are, to make it through their very first race. Racers will be able to sign up as a first 5ker or a motivational runner. First 5kers don’t always travel their first 5k journey alone and we want them to be able to experience it with whoever their motivational figure is. First 5kers will be encouraged to wear yellow so everyone can see them, cheer them on along the way, motivate them throughout the race and give them the support they need to finish their first race strong. Not only will spectators and motivators be able to spot the first 5kers in their yellow shirts, first 5kers will be able to spot each other! The District was created in 2007 by City of St. Louis Board of Aldermand Bill #67593 for the five-year period beginning January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2012. The District Property is all of the property located within the City of St. Louis abutting the roadway commonly known as Flora Place together with any rear parcels that abut parcels abutting on Flora Place and bounded on the east by Grand Boulevard, on the west by Tower Grove Avenue, on the north by the east-west alleyways located in CB 4935, CB 4940, CB 4941, CB 4946, CB 4947, and CB 4952 (and excluding those properties north of such alley ways abutting Russell Boulevard ), and on the south by the east-west alleyways located in CB 4934, CB 4929, CB 4920, CB 4919, CB 2117, and CB 2118 (and excluding those properties south of such alleyways abutting Flad Avenue). The District is governed by a Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Block Captains from each block within the District. The Board meets five times a year or more at the house of the President. The Flora Place CID Board will meet in 2012 on the following schedule. American Music Abroad is a cultural diplomacy program that brings together American musicians with global audiences. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is run by American Voices. Each year AMA selects approximately 10 ensembles to embark on overseas tours. While on these tours musicians participate in concerts, workshops, educational programs and more. Our Vision: The St. Louis Community Mediation Program imagines a society in which parties address their conflicts non-violently through mediated dialogue. SLCMP’s process provides two professionally-trained volunteer mediators and a safe location to facilitate dialogue between parties in conflict. MediationSTL provides Community Mediation in the following areas: -Citizen complaints against police officers. Mediation offers parties the opportunity to resolve issues themselves and avoid intercession from courts or other parties. -Referrals from police officers or city officials. Mediation is a preventative measure or last resort to avoid arrests or fines. -Neighborhood Mediation. Mediation assists parties to resolve issues surrounding parking, trash, disrespect, noise, minor mischief, and others. -Landlord Tenant Mediation. -Town Hall and Large Group Mediation. Mediation in a town hall format facilitates problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution for larger groups. -Senior citizens and their families. Mediation is a method for families to discuss and resolve the difficult decisions associated with aging. SLCMP is a service of the Mennonite Peace Center, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that has supported mediation and other community building projects in St. Louis since 1999. Mennonite peace centers throughout the world promote principles of nonviolent social change by fostering peaceful dialogue among all persons, regardless of faith tradition.

The Italian American Heritage Corporation is one of the oldest Italian American organization in the United States. It was organized on November 11, 1866 and was incorporated on December 6, 1866 it is composed of many St. Louis Italian-American Organizations, who joined together a number of years ago to ensure that there will always be a Columbus Day Parade. The first parade was organized by the Fratellanza Society in 1867 through the effort of an Italian settlement in downtown St Louis. The parade route started downtown and terminated at the statue of Chistopher Columbus ( donated by Henry Shaw ) in Tower Park. For many years it has been held on " The Hill" . The parade is always the highlight of the Columbus Day celebration by many Italian Organizations to promote the philosophy and culture of their heritage by participating in a Festa after the parade. The Festa is traditionally held in Berra Park.
