Since 1937, the Civic Center Music Hall has hosted innumerable performances and special events. This historic venue was part of the original 1936 Civic Center complex in Oklahoma City. Inside the Art Deco-inspired building are three theatres, a grand reception hall, plus multiple suites and smaller rental facilities. The Civic Center serves over 300,000 patrons annually at more than 250 performances. Our friendly staff and volunteers are happy to assist you in any way. Urban Roots is a flexible, communal space where art and food intersect. Located in one of the last original buildings in Oklahoma City’s historic Deep Deuce, Urban Roots fosters culture, comfort and creativity by offering fresh, artful programming and dining alternatives.
Plays are presented in an intimate setting with seating for 90. The theatre also houses a lobby art gallery and a bar, and the audience may take refreshments inside the theatre.
Wiggle Out Loud is a free, active-family music festival in downtown Oklahoma City that aims to get kids of all ages movin’ and groovin’ their way to healthier lives. The festival returns from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 at a NEW location in the Myriad Botanical Gardens! Top local, regional and national touring acts will rock center stage, providing the upbeat soundtrack for a variety of health and fitness related activities spanning the park. A second stage will feature local musicians and performance artists. Locally owned businesses will offer a variety of healthy foods and beverages for maximum energy and collaborations with arts organizations add color and texture to the festival atmosphere with creativity-inspiring activities.
