Brothers Bar and Grill was founded in 1990 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and since then has expanded to 17 locations in 10 Midwestern states. The Savoy at Curtis Park occupies the second floor of a landmark Victorian building. Built in 1887 and residing in the historic Curtis Park Neighborhood, the second floor was used as a private social club with a dance floor/social space, lobby, and lounge. Today, it remains as one of the few surviving spaces of its kind in the city of Denver. A short walk from Coors Field, adjacent to the RiNo Arts and Entertainment District, the building was renovated in 2001. In 2012 the second floor was restored to its original configuration and the maple and cherry wood floors were returned to their original luster. The room and the lounge retain their original pressed tin ceilings and both spaces are illuminated by the original nine foot windows that offer city and mountain views. Offering affordable rates and a capacity of 275, the Savoy at Curtis Park is able to accommodate a wide range of dance, performance, and social uses; so be it a dance class, wedding, rave, concert or business gathering, give us a call and let us show you the Savoy at Curtis Park. The Denver Turnverein, Inc. is the oldest social membership club in Denver, CO, established in 1865. Affiliated with the American Turners organization, the club has evolved from its original gymnastics focus to providing all types of social dancing as its primary focus. The motto "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body" credited to the original German Turner societies is still relevant today. Social dancing provides physical, mental, and interpersonal relationship benefits that are good for the body and the mind. As a non-profit membership organization, the club's yearly membership fee keeps nightly dance costs low and preserves the building for the enjoyment of its members. The membership community focus makes The Denver Turnverein a safe and welcoming place to dance.
