South San Francisco High School Badminton Open Gym has been home to many generations of students from Coaches Dick Ng and Dan Leong. Their dedication and love for teaching the sport of Badminton has produced Olympic calibre players and a wholesome community throughout the last few decades. After a short hiatus, the Parks and Recreation of South San Francisco has re-opened its doors to the community, so please join us for some friendly games! Our Training Program is managed and instructed by Bartolo Chen, former Junior National Champion. He has had extensive training from Coaches Dick Ng and Dan Leong (trained Olympic qualifiers Ben Lee and Howard Bach), Tony Gunawan (2000 Olympic Gold Medalist), Rudy Gunawan (1992, 1994 World Champion), Igatius Rusli (USA Badminton National Coach), Cai Zi Min (USA Badminton National Coach), and ZhengHing (Kevin) Guo (Former Chinese #1 Singles Champion) We are affiliates of badmintondirect.com.
