You can see for miles and miles and miles! Sailboats on Lake Michigan, the states of Michigan, Indian and Wisconsin. And of course, Chicago, Chicago and more Chicago. As you look North, you’ll see the North Avenue Beach House and the graceful curve of the tree-shaded beach walk where the regulars come to play chess and commuters stream north on Lake Shore Drive. Aren’t you glad you aren’t one of them? To the East you’ll see Lake Michigan and the never ending panorama of sailors, jet skiers and the occasional freighter. And what can we say about our neighbors to the South - the John Hancock Center, the Palmolive Building, East Lake Shore Drive and the incredible Oak Street beach with its volleyball games, swimmers, bikers, rollerbladers and sunbathers. At night, of course, you’ll watch Navy Pier’s fireworks, unless you look to the West at magnificent sunsets that rival old masters at the Art Institute. Your home at 1350-1360 North Lake Shore Drive gives you a ring-side seat for it all…right outside your window and just steps from your front door. And if you decide to view them all at once, enjoy the sights from our incomparable sundecks facing every direction; sunrise, sunset, city nights and harbor lights. And the lifestyle that is Lake Shore Drive is yours when you make your home with us at 1350/1360 North Lake Shore Drive.

The Germania Club Building, located at 108 W. Germania Place in the Near North Side community area of Chicago, Illinois, is the historic headquarters of the Germania Club, the oldest German-American organization in the city. The Germania Club was founded in 1865 as the Germania Männerchor, which formed to sing at Abraham Lincoln's funeral. The club built the Germania Club Building in 1889; it was designed by August Fiedler in an eclectic style featuring neoclassical and German Renaissance influences. The five-story building has a two-story limestone base with a portico and arched doorway on the south end. The upper stories feature arched windows capped by pediments and a pilaster supporting the cornice atop the building. The building includes a grand ballroom, banquet room, and restaurant and bar. The club played an important role in Chicago's German-American community, once the largest ethnic community in Chicago. The Germania Club Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 22, 1976. It was designated as a Chicago Landmark on January 13, 2011.

Latin School of Chicago is a private elementary, middle, and high school located in the Gold Coast neighborhood on the Near North side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. The school was founded in 1888 by Mabel Slade Vickery.HistoryLatin School of Chicago is the oldest independent day school in the city of Chicago. Latin School was formed in 1888 by a group of parents seeking a better education for their children. Mabel Slade Vickery, a teacher from the East Coast, was invited to Chicago to open the school with a small class of 10, 10-year-old boys. During the early years, classes were held in private homes on Chicago's near North Side. The parent-owned institution flourished and in 1899, with enrollment of more than 100 boys, the school moved into its own building and officially became Chicago Latin School. In 1913, a girls section was incorporated by Miss Vickery and became The Chicago Latin School for Girls. The schools merged in 1953 to form the co-educational Latin School of Chicago. The school was designed to provide students with a rigorous college-preparatory education in the classical tradition, with a curriculum that was heavily influenced by Classical studies and the study of the Greek and Latin languages, hence the name “Latin School." Latin language is still taught in the middle and upper schools today. While it was started as a neighborhood school, Latin School currently is home to more than 1,100 students from approximately 70 ZIP codes throughout the Chicago area. The school awards more than $3 million in need-based financial aid each year.ApproachStudents are given a strong foundation in the core subject areas of English, math, science, social studies, history, world languages and the arts. Starting in the lower school Latin’s curriculum takes an interdisciplinary approach. In high school, Latin offers a large number of innovative electives in every subject area in addition to the core requirements. Many classes have an experiential component to bring the material to life—mock trials, hands-on labs and Model U.N. simulations, to name a few. Upper school students may choose from more than 150 classes each year, including a full range of AP courses. They are required to complete at least 24 credits to graduate.
