The S. H. Kress and Co. Building is a historic 1929 building in Tampa, Florida, United States. It was part of the S. H. Kress & Co. "five and dime" department store chain. On April 7, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.Located at 811 N. Franklin Street, the building has a second fronting on Florida Avenue and is in the Renaissance Revival architectural style. G.E. McKay was the four story building's architect, and it includes masonry, suspended bronze marquee, extensive use of terra-cotta ornamentation (on both its facades). It was "one of the last major commercial structures built in Tampa before the Great Depression".The Kress store was located between a Woolworth and former J.J. Newberry. The Masonic Temple No. 25, the meeting location of Hillsborough Lodge No. 25, Free and Accepted Masons is an historic Masonic building located at 508 East Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa, Florida, United States. Erected in 1927, the Lodge building was designed by Brother Leo Elliott whose design for it was inspired by three medieval Italian cathedrals.The cornerstone of the Hillsborough 25's fourth, and current Lodge building, was laid on June 18, 1928, by the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Florida, Cary B. Fish. The Lodge was constructed at its current location in Downtown Tampa, on the corner of East Kennedy Boulevard and Morgan Street. The first Masonic Lodge meeting in the new Temple was called on February 19, 1929. On September 11, 1986, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.The building includes a large dining room, kitchen, officer offices, library, conference room, lounge area, and lodge room. The Lodge room is adorned with a 40 ft high, hand painted ceiling, and accommodates up to 450 Brothers and visitors. El Circulo Cubano de Tampa is a historic building constructed in 1917 to serve as a gathering place for Cuban immigrants in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. It was designed by Tampa architect M. Leo Elliott. It is located at Palm Avenue and 14th Street. On November 15, 1972, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed the building on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places as Cuban Club, Ybor City.The building has a theater and once included a bowling alley, spa, pharmacy, ballroom, library, and cantina. Decorated with imported tile, stained glass, scraffito spandrels and murals it continues the legacy of the club first established in 1902 as a mutual aid society.

The Knight Parade is an annual celebration of Tampa civic pride. Hosted by the Krewe of the Knights of Sant' Yago, the Knight Parade has been held in Ybor City each year since 1974. The 2016 Krewe of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade presented by MOR will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at 7 p.m. in historic Ybor City. The parade's rich heritage attracts families, and adults young and old alike to join in the revelry. A true Tampa Bay tradition, the 2016 Knight Parade will draw more than 120,000 spectators from throughout the United States. It's sometimes referred to as the "Sant´Yago Illuminated Knight Parade" and mistakenly called the "Night Parade" because it's held at night. It is always held on a Saturday evening in February, typically a few of weeks after the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion. The Knight Parade, as well as other fundraising events, helps raise funds for the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Education Foundation, which has provided more than $2 million in scholarships for local students.
