West Egg Café is located at 1100 Howell Mill Road in the White Provision Residences building, part of the Westside Provisions District. West Egg is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch, along with local beers on tap and a full bar. West Egg also is a complete coffeehouse, featuring locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee and desserts made in-house by Pastry Chef Carrie Hudson. Inspired by a healthy, outdoor lifestyle, bartaco combines fresh, upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed environment. The minimalistic décor is light and breezy, with the air of a rustic beach shack. The cuisine is rooted in tradition and pulls from a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from the Mediterranean, Asia and beyond. The tacos are healthier versions of old-country favorites, filled with fish, fresh vegetables, spit-roasted chicken, and slow-cooked pork to name a few. There are salads, grilled corn, and signature fusion rice bowls on the menu. The bartaco beverage menu is just as carefully crafted, and includes bottled Mexican Coca-Cola and hand-pressed aguas frescas. Over 40 tequilas — all 100% agave — have been hand-picked. Our award-winning refreshing cocktail selections are made with only artisanal spirits and freshly-squeezed juices, and are featured along with traditional margaritas, mojitos and caipirinhas. Whether dining with family or enjoying a night out with friends, all will savor the undeniable energy that is the bartaco experience.

Highlights from the dinner menu include small plates such as ham and shrimp croquettes , scallops with butternut squash mousse and Leffe beurre blanc, house-made pierogies and croque madame and monsieur sliders. Entrees include classic French dishes such as steak frites. The lunch menu offers a variety of sandwiches made with high quality meats and house-made sauces, French onion soup and quiche Lorraine. Weekend brunch items served in addition to the lunch menu will include honey nut crepes and vol au benedict served in a pastry pate au choux. The lively bar offers memorable cocktails, a mix of local brews and European stouts, lagers and ales and a selective wine list paired perfectly to the traditional comfort dishes. Innovative handcrafted cocktails include the “Atlantan honey” with Buffalo Trace bourbon, Dumante pistachio liqueur, fresh squeezed lemon juice and honey and the “hibiscus sparkler” with prosecco, rhubarb syrup and Wild Hibiscus Flower syrup.

Located in Midtown West, the restaurant's menu focuses on sustainable seafood prepared in a wood-burning oven. Adjacent to the new restaurant, Fry opened Oyster Bar at The Optimist, a more casual "fish camp" style venue, featuring an outdoor patio, live music and an oyster bar. Both the oyster bar and restaurant feature Smith Hanes’ designs and architecture by Tim Nichols. The name for the restaurant was suggested by Fry’s father, who enjoys sailing. In sailing terms, an optimist is a small, single-handed sailing dinghy intended for use by children up to the age of 15. The understated quality of the name along with the forthright meaning of the word optimist appeals to Fry.
